game: has any kind of elemental based fighting system
me: apply pokemon logic
To be fair Pokemon element logic is rooted in normal logic.
yeah, everyone knows a wrestlers biggest weakness is the local pigeons
go outside and try to suplex a bird
tell me how bug resists fighting
go outside and try to suplex a bug
the "came back wrong" trope except like... they didnt. like this mad scientists wife died, and so he studied necromancy, brought her back, and she came back and it all worked. like she came back exactly the same as she was before with literally no difference. but the scientist guy is like "oh no... what have i done.... shes Different now!!!! she came back Wrong!!!!" and shes just like. chilling. reading a book. cooking dinner. shes just so so normal but in the guys mind hes like "oh shes soooo weird" but shes just normal

NO its a JOKE and YOU DONT GET IT. ITS NOT THAT DEEP
While she was dead he put his memory of her on such a high pedestal that she could never live up to it alive
alternatively‚ she came back perfectly fine but he thinks she came back wrong‚ because the tragic reality is that he never actually knew his wife
im going INSANE thats MY POST.
It's your post but the journey to posting it changed it to such a degree that even its closest intimacies are now foreign to you. Sorry dude.
Early 400 follower celebration because I’m feeling really thankful right now: Great writers on Tumblr
My friend @ren-c-leyn who is a great writer in her own right and such a positive amazing person tagged me in a post honoring wonderful writer/poet friends and I wanted to honor the spirit of the post and celebrate 400 followers (early, because im at 380ish lol) by sharing some writers who I think are just excellent all-around. If you like anything I’ve written you should definitely check them out!
I am so utterly infatuated with @haikkun’s turn of phrase - and she is one of the most formidable and intelligent writers I think I have ever encountered, period. Something about her writing just satisfies part of my brain that doesn’t often get stimulated. Expect wonderful, fresh, punchy images detailed with a superb vocabulary and a truly remarkable, unique and romantic perspective.
I haven’t yet had the pleasure of speaking to @isabella-d-b at length but her blog offers incredibly intimate and beautiful journal-style poems that betray the utter affability, sweetness, and old soul of the writer to the extent that I feel like I just already know that she is a wonderful, friendly, creative person. Her writing perfectly captures the warmth and partial unsteadiness of young adulthood and all of that love, hope, and exploration that comes with it.
@thegoblinbee writes vivid, raw, electric non-for-the-faint-of-heart vignettes and poetry with gut punching honesty and fervor (mature readers). She has been to absolute war with life and recounts her experience with an incredible natural talent for imagery and rhetoric. Stunning, vivid recollections of addiction, sex, recovery and everything in between. Incredibly rewarding reads for those who can stomach the hard realities of life.
@d-aslan17 is one of the first poets I saw on this site and he writes with wonderful natural imagery and perspective. I’m thankful to see his writing every day!
@underkaphinated writes with this deeply-intelligent sass and likeableness that is just so fascinating and cool. Striking, unique imagery in every write.
Im so thankful for @inrumford, who has been a very early supporter of me and writes great nostalgia-tinged poetry paired with wonderful warm, serene photography
@lovesomelonesome is a writer that I cant wait to see more from, and @geisterbilder has a quirky awesome crow-themed blog, which i have never seen anything quite like.
Much love to my friend in heartbreak @jordynjournals, @writingandshitt for…writing great shit, @we-were-young-once for many fine meditations on romance, @boxoflonelyplaces for all of the love you’ve given me - I can tell with every poem that you are growing so much as a writer and I can’t wait to see more!
@chronicallyoverthinking thanks for your kind words and poetry a testament to that same sense of anxiety that I live with everyday, and thanks to @from-moonlight-to-daisies , who shares my same proclivity for falling in love in San Francisco.
Finally an extra special thanks again to @ren-c-leyn who is such a positive force on this site and inspires me to not only keep writing, but to be the best and most supportive person I can be to fellow writers.
I’ve only just begun sharing my writing in the beginning of this month and I’ll have to do this again because I realized there were so many other great writers I haven’t mentioned that I want to and but this post is already too long and now I feel kind of guilty. Another thing to be sorry about I guess :P
Love you all,
Imsorrythings
Holy crow, I am gasterflabbed…! Thank you so much @imsorrythings for the overly kind praise! Truly, I’m struck straight to the floor.
With your writing, you’re going to outpace us all! 😂 It’s wonderful to have you here. Keep the chewy words and vivid imagery flowing my friend!
I also recommend following him and everyone on this list here! ❤️
I read things like this and think,
“I used to BE something…”
And it makes me cry bitterly. This past tense comparison game that only ever equates to a negative slope.
We used to be people.
People used to reach out.
We used to say errant things and it would spawn poems in spite and we’d sweat in the laughter. We’d make each other write. We couldn’t help it.
Is the world dying and are we all bad at keeping in touch these days, or is this just me and my penance of having stepped away in pain and putting up walls on account of so many people leaving first?
Is society scalded? We have nothing but reasons TO be… still… I cannot forgive art and love being stolen as much as I cannot forgive soil being made arid. When I cry it only salts the land. Do I have anything pure left, to water with?
I want to abide in a present tense.
I want to feel like my circle is growing.
I want a positive slope.
I miss connecting with people in our own special world here and I’m ready to have my hands burned again (she cries, around the bandages).

For me, it feels like every time I reach out I can only find thorns or wasteland, and at this point I'm not sure whether it's the world's fault or mine. Maybe I'm grasping for the wrong things or in the wrong ways, or maybe there's nothing out there but thorns and wasteland.
i will never understand people who hate on others for coining microlabels. like why are you mad that someone is trying to describe how they feel ? they couldnt find a word for it, so they made one, and i think thats awesome !
your level of education means nothing if you never learned any compassion
you're a magical girl now, the last thing you ate is your magical girl name is it good?
yes
no
it's perfect
it's awful
it's funny, i love it

Apple by itself isn't good, but if you combine it with some adjectives or descriptors it could rock
Actually, Magical Girl Honey Crisp works pretty well

my most sick and twisted fantasy
I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
As some of you may have seen on the news, our city has been occupied by federal ICE agents for many weeks now; estimates hover around 3,000+ ICE agents. Agents have been waging a 24/7 campaign of terror against Minnesota communities, with a major emphasis on Minneapolis. They have committed mass abductions of our BIPOC and immigrant neighbors; they have subjected women and trans community members to gender-based violence; they have murdered two Minneapolis residents. They have detained children as young as 2 years old. Toddlers. They used a 5-year-old child as bait to lure his family from his home to be detained.
Whatever you think it's like in Minnesota right now from wherever you live, it's worse. It's far worse than you're imagining.
On January 7, ICE agents murdered Renee Nicole Good, 37, a queer woman, poet, mother, and wife. They shot her 4 times as she tried to drive away from them. They refused offers from observers to provide her medical care. As she lay dying, a male ICE agent called her a f-cking b-tch.
Today, on January 24, they murdered Alex Jeffrey Pretti, an intensive care unit nurse. Several agents - at least 7 - beat Alex repeatedly in the head, tear gassed him, restrained him, and repeatedly shot him at point blank range. Before they murdered him, Alex had stepped in to help a woman whom the agents pushed to the ground.
If you do not live in Minnesota, Stand with Minnesota is a very helpful website filled with places to donate, mutual aid information, scripts for contacting your elected officials, calls to action, and more.
Please help us. https://www.standwithminnesota.com/
Please do not read this and turn away. Please share this with anyone and everyone you know.
And if you support ICE, unfollow me. You are not welcome on my page, ever.
ICE has executed a man in Minneapolis today. The video is horrifying. There were five ICE ‘officers’ against one man who was on the ground and they shot him repeatedly. This was caught on video and I watched it.
They will try and spin this. They will say he was armed (which is his legal right). They will try and say he was a paid agitator or part of some horrible left wing terrorist organization.
DONT LISTEN.
This was an execution clear and simple. Whether or not he was armed has nothing to do with it, he was subdued on the ground when he was shot.
I truly don’t know what the country/world is hearing from Minnesota right now but I’m fairly certain it’s not the whole story. We are angry, we are afraid, we are helping our community in unprecedented numbers, we have been peaceful, we know our rights and have followed the law.
Fifty THOUSAND people were in the streets yesterday with almost no police presence and the whole thing was peaceful and lawful and filled with hope and love.
The thugs hate that and they are scared so they decided to execute a man in retaliation.

Lines of thought that seem Normal but are actually rooted in extreme puritanism:
-Seeing the nude human body is inherently traumatic -Sex scenes in art are pointless -Wearing kink-related clothing in public is the similar to performing a sex scene in front of unwilling participants -Depicting female characters expressing sexuality is always degrading -People's sexual fantasies are always an endorsement of the behavior they want to see in real life -Sex work is more traumatic and coercive than other types of work The goal is to treat sex as just another thing people do. That is a much healthier attitude than hiding it! It's not uniquely traumatic, it's not weird to talk about it or include it in society.
