I’ve learned from them and put a lot of effort into staying grounded because they certainly didn’t. I’m glad though. I do want you to meet them. I just don’t want you to be surprised if they’re not warm and fuzzy.
Good, I’m glad you feel that way. Maybe, you’re right about the subconscious thing. Well, you have done a great job with who you’ve become, and it would be a shame if they couldn’t appreciate that as well. I promise I won’t be surprised, and it’s necessary to meet your parents, and support you as well. I’m not about to let you down, and leave you to handle them on your own, especially now that I know how they can be towards you.

Oh God, definitely not. I mean, “shit hitting a fan” is usually there to describe an unfortunate situation, but “Christmas shit hitting a fan” and splattering everywhere? That might just might be the best thing that’s ever happened.
Haha! I feel like “Christmas shit hitting a fan” is giving me images of your entire house being covered in tinsel, and green, and red, and gold colors. Your tree having ornaments all over the place and the lights being all devil may care. Is my imagination getting out of hand? Also, cookies, I feel like there are cookies everywhere.

Which actually reminds me, I had a question for you. My parents are in New York for the holidays. I feel like I ought to stop by and say hi since I’ll be there. Do you want to meet them? Or is that weird?
That sounds perfect. I love it when trees are huge. Let’s get a beautiful big tree, and you and I can both choose a color for the color scheme, how about that? You pick one, and I’ll pick another. However, the lights are going to be white lights, that is something I will not budge on. As for meeting your parents, I think that will be fine, because you met my father already, after all.

You mean you’re not a heavy drinker? I’m more excited for January but it’ll be nice to have all my family in one place again.
How are you?
I’m actually not. Much more of a casual drinker, but I’m thinking that maybe it looks a bit different to everyone here. Anyway, you have every right to be excited! It’ll be a lovely time for all of you, I’m sure. I’ve been great, incredibly busy, but I’m just happy to have some time to enjoy life a bit more. How about you? How are you?

You going to see family and friends in NYC. I spent last Christmas there, it was so much fun. I worked over the holidays last year so I get this year off which is pretty cool.
Actually, no, I’m not. All of my family are in Scotland. My friends are here in LA, or in Scotland. We’re actually going because my girlfriend enjoys NYC, and wants to show me the city. I’m really excited about the opportunity to be able to see places she loves, and to do it all during the holiday season so it’ll be made better with decorations.

I’m always impressed by you, so I’m the wrong person to ask. Yes! Sounds like a plan! Did you get a tree yet or are we also on a hunt for the perfect tree? I watched Elf with Marcie the other day so next on my giant list of Christmas movies is either The Santa Clause or Love Actually.
Let’s start the decoration festivities by going out and hunting for the perfect Christmas tree on Friday night. That way we can put it up, and give it time to get some water before we throw lights and other decorations all over it. Ah, I vote Love Actually because I actually enjoy that film. So, Friday night we’ll get a tree, and then maybe Saturday we can decorate? Wait, what day are we leaving for our trip because perhaps that’s cutting it close.

I was double fisting those drinks. Are we impressed? I feel like it’s impressive even though maybe I’m giving off the wrong idea. I would love some help decorating my place. We could even watch some holiday classic films as well afterward?
What is the best thing Daisy has done for you?
Everything. She’s patient with me even though I’m so busy, and I have a tendency to get wrapped up in my music. She never holds that against me. She supports me, and I support her. She’s generous, kind, and incredibly caring. She even planned an entire holiday trip for the two of us so she can share her favorite place with me, just like I did with her.
I guess you could say the best thing that @daisy-yorke has done for me was just give me the chance to actually be with her.
Sometimes I think, maybe I shouldn’t post so many photos of me with a drink, and then I realize... I hardly do anything else aside from rehearse music, practice other instruments, practice with the Philharmonic, spend time with @daisy-yorke, and I rarely get to enjoy a drink. So, here, have another photo of me enjoying a rare drink. It’s nearly the season break which means I’ll be headed to NYC soon with Daisy. Is anyone else as ready to celebrate the holidays as I am?
