@evans-questionable-blog
it works differently in the kink comics
grey wagtail
character from The Wildercourt, the graphic novel I'm very slowly but very persistently working on
YOU are T4T!
i gotta say i agree that exposing children to algorithmic content feeds is going to make them grow up with one billion new kinds of mental illnesses and it's a serious societal problem that urgently needs addressing but it makes me v. v. v. uneasy when i see posts going around that identify this issue and come to the conclusion 'this is why it's important for parents to know what their kid is doing online' and uh girls there are a lot of kids out there who would be dead if their parents knew what they were doing online
"yeah this aspect of capitalism is extremely alienating and traumatizing" and im nodding and smiling and then they add "which is why we must retreat to the safety of the family" and i start abruptly high-pitched screaming like a fire alarm

I would like to apologize to polo shirts for not appreciating them sooner
Do they look good? Not usually. Do they feel good? Occasionally. Do they communicate “chill out bro I only just work here?” Absolutely. And sometimes that’s what an employer needs to hear
I’m not even going to button the top button. Physically I may be in this cubicle but mentally I am enjoying a tropical drink on the beach. I am responding to your unnecessary email with nothing but cool ocean breeze. If you have any problems you can swing by my desk with another tropical drink and maybe I will consider doing analysis on that spreadsheet you sent to me in jpeg format. Maybe.
Who the fuck jpegs a spreadsheet
Would you believe me if I said “people employed by the federal government”
Unfortunately
HOW the fuck do you jpeg a spreadsheet?
oh honey..
you would not believe how many times i got those from middle-aged sales people…
I once needed a customer to fill out some information in an excel file and his plan, which I just barely called him in time to stop him from executing, was to
print out the blank excel template on paper
hand-write some 100 rows or so of information, with a pencil (he said he did not have a pen)
fax it back to me
in the end i had to make him read his info aloud so i could enter it for him
I had a client whose process for providing user interface feedback was as follows:
1. Bring the relevant screen up on their desktop computer.
2. Take a photo of their desktop computer’s monitor with their cell phone camera.
3. Transfer the cell phone photo back to their desktop computer, and paste it into a Microsoft Word document.
4. Export the Word document to a PDF.*
5. Print the PDF out on paper.
6. Mark up the printout in pen with their comments.
7. Feed the printout through a document scanner, set to output the result as a PDF.
8. Email me that PDF.
* Yes, they specifically exported the Word document to PDF before printing rather than printing the Word document directly. No, I did not ask why.
Hey yall, I wanted to make a PSA about this because it'll be useful to many of you in the United States. You might qualify for public assistance now, specifically because of rising food prices.
The federal poverty line, the biggest determining factor for public assistance, has been kept artificially low for decades because it was based on the outdated assumption that food was the primary expense for most American households. For decades now, shelter has been the larger expense, but the federal poverty limit has still been determined based on the prices of food commodities.
Because food prices have recently gone up, the federal poverty line has gone up significantly as well. This means if you were previously slightly over the income limit to qualify for public assistance such as food stamps or medicaid, you likely qualify now. I'd like to encourage everyone who thinks they might qualify to apply for these programs. The qualification cutoffs are still absurdly low, so please be assured that if you qualify for assistance, you're not taking something you don't need or deserve.
Please reblog this if you think your followers will find it useful. I haven't seen anyone talking about this, it's just something I noticed recently, so I want the info to become more public to help people who might be struggling.
"sick" and "wicked" are the best compliments. this is so good it's diseased. this is so cool it's evil
