why don't you do arts and crafts for 5 hours and then you'll calm down
i love the part of making art where you feel like you need to go missing
Supposedly progressive and left leaning people thinking art preservation and space exploration and just research and history in general are useless endeavors sound so republican to me.
Help me with panic attacks.
Hey guys, so im not sure if this will even reach people but i have a panic disorder, wich causes me to have anxiety and panic on a daily basis. It has lessened over the year but its still here everyday. And i feel like it strikes whenever im having fun. When i have fun a sudden derealization hits me and i feel like ill wake up back into depression anytime. This isn’t the inly symptom im experiencing but thats the one im saying for now.
My question is does anyone know any unhinged weird method to snap me back to reality because barely anything helps me and i just wanna be able to have fun in my life since its already so short.
Thanks so much in advance 💞
I learned “the tapping method” a long time ago, and it helps me when I’m having anxiety or depersonalization. I just googled it to find a video, and this one shows it the best I think (although he’s doing affirmations at the same time which I never do). Apparently it’s also called the Emotional Freedom Technique (or EFT), which is kind of a weird name imo, but hey, it works for me, so maybe it will help you :)

2. If you actually are the Literal Worst In The Whole Wide World at your craft... who the fuck cares? What are they gonna do, call the police on you? Keep making your shitty little things, youre the boss of you, fuck the haters.

when 23 year olds say “im getting old” cause they get excited by mundane things…for the love of. we used to get excited by BOXES as toddlers. maybe we’re just reverting to our childlike joy did u ever think about THAT.
I was having just this thought the other day, and it was kind of beautiful. The idea that coming into adulthood some of early childhood wonder is reclaimed - how often do we hear of that? But this is a true and common instance of it. Loving the ordinary is wonderful, and can coexist with loving the extraordinary.

I love personalization. I love stickers on water bottles and on laptops. I love shitty marker drawing on the toes of converse. I love hand embroidered doodles on jeans. I love posters on walls. I love knick knacks on shelves. I love jewelry with goofy charms. I love when people take things and make them theirs.
