╰ october:
𝗦𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗠 grip, but if anything it only reassures her. sage exudes everything october is looking for in someone else — warmth, safety, kindness, strength. she knows things haven’t always been so easy for the bishop siblings, but tobi has come to care for every one of them ( even if one didn’t speak to her at all ).
« smart boy, » she teases, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. « alright then, » october sighs, defeated, « but i do think we could enjoy pancakes and each other’s company as rogue criminals too. » there is a playful tone to it all as they enter the diner, the girl skipping ahead a few steps to open the door for sage. « i’ll be the mastermind, you’ll be my lackey. reaching into high spaces and stuff. »
— IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO LAUGH out loud at the vibrant and bright energy every action or word from october. he hurried up after her as she opened the door to the diner, shaking his head at her antics. “you do make a good case for going over to the dark side. the fact that you’ll be my mastermind is at the top of that list. let me know what you want me to steal and i’ll get to it immediately. oh, hello ...”
the last part was said to the, decidedly not amused, hostess, who was staring at them and probably wondering if she should call the cops. after a few seconds it seemed as if she didn’t have the energy to, and motioned for them to follow with a deep sigh. sage pushed down his giggles as he slid into his seat and leaned forward to whisper dramatically, “don’t worry, boss, if i hear the sirens i’ll carry you to safety with my inhumanly long legs.”
