why is it called sweetened au? My name sounds similar to cocoa, which is used in chocolate, which is sweet. Af2s doesn't have any gimmicks, it's just what I call my version of af2.
I personally adore cyalm, not just because I obviously selfship with him, but because he's such an interesting character. He's a storyteller. And I love seeing that aspect of him exploited. If I remember correctly, at the end of the game he expresses something similar to joy as he's being discovered and defeated. Above all else, he prioritizes his characters and his story. Despite having a disdain for the human form, he uses it as a reference for his creations. There's probably a technical reason. but for alternative universes sake, he did it symbolically. He thinks, or thought, he was turning something weak and powerless into something ābeautiful.ā My favorite aspect of cyalm, at least in my au, is how not human he is. Now, not inhumane(though he is), but just how far from personhood he really is. Despite having a humanoid body, speaking a human language, etc. he physically cannot experience ānormalā human emotion. Only an artificial and flawed kind. He loves the points, and feels a type of attraction to them. And because these are artificial, he doesn't know how to handle them. Heās perverted towards the concept of his narrative. He feels an intense adoration for the points, yadayada. I think cyalm would be infuriated at the thought of the points(Besides Stratosfear.) wanting to ever go back to their original human bodies. Despite their inability to do so, he'd still be frustrated because of something like he put all this effort into them and the narrative and now they're rejecting it. But, cyalm is aware that something like this would happen, and that's what makes me like him a lot more. He writes things that frustrate him and keeps the narrative going anyway, because he feels It is necessary. I love the idea of a frustrated or angered cyalm, because its so out of character. I think it'd be interesting to see the writer himself go out of character for a split second and then have to panic-improvise. Near the end of af2, I think cyalm was starting to get bored. I think that's apart of the reason he was so eager to be defeated and have his cool monologue. Now, I don't feel much different for celestea; or red x as they are all the same people. But I do kind of view reusing the symbol of the red x for stratosfear as reusing a character concept. Which adds more to my favorite aspect of the story, which is the production
