Yeah, it's time to get this post out again
The Weeping Angels are really scary until you realize if any organism sees them they are fucked so they get hard countered by geckos, who don't blink and can see in the dark. If the Doctor strapped like two geckos onto him he'd be fine.

This is honestly better advice than āif at first you donāt succeed, try try again.ā
By all means try again. But do that after you figure out WHY you failed!

Italian man trying to talk without using his hands
today i sprained my foot in the worse way possible. i slipped on a yugioh card in my room (a bunch actually since i was sorting them). this is it. yugioh will be the death of me
update: it turns out i didnāt twist/sprain my foot. we went to the nurses and i had fractured it appparently. duel monsters broke my foot. yugioh broke my foot. yugioh ruined my life (hereās a picture of the Ā cast)
Somehow playing a card game has caused me to become severely injured.
Me: āI want to read a book.ā
My Brain: Then read one...?
Me:
im going to be real i am pretty fucking surprised!
Toronto Police: In our expert opinion, that shouldnāt be there.
Well they just werenāt sure at first, you know. Because of color theory

Make Some Pocket Extenders for Your Pants
So I donāt know about you, but Iām often frustrated by the ridiculous smallness of girlsā pockets. At a bare minimum, I need to be able to shove my cellphone in there - come on, pants companies! So what I started doing was making myself pocket extenders. Iāve done this several times, for pants and shorts. Itās great.
I just got this pair of jeans, so I thought Iād show you how to do it. I kind of feel like it just hasnāt occurred to some of you that this is an option, so maybe now it will. All you need is your pants, some fabric (I just took a random piece from a scrap bin), a needle, and some thread (thread doesnāt even need to match the fabric since literally no one will see it).
See? Ridiculous. Like, half a cellphone, or only 2.5ā³. Useless.
Ā So turn those inside out to expose the pockets.
Figure out how big you want your pockets to actually be. I kinda go by whatever looks like might be right. I didnāt really measure them. Fold the fabric in half, so you have a pocket, and then fold it in half again so you can have two equal ones.
Try to get the edges to line up enough, pin it in place, then sew up the sides! Are your stitches crazy uneven and wonky looking? Doesnāt matter; nobodyās going to see it. These are in the inside of your pants. The only thing that matters is that it holds up. So I double-did the corners, since those tend to get the most stress.
Cut open the bottom of the existing pockets.
Pin it in place, then sew around, joining the new pocket to the old pocket. I did this by keeping my hand on the inside, so I wouldnāt accidentally sew through the other side. Again, I reinforced the corners, and didnāt worry about what it actually looks like. Then I turned it in side out to make sure the inside was all joined properly.
Yay all done! And the pockets are so much bigger now!
Whaaaat I can fit my entire phone and entire hand and probably something else now, are girlsā pockets even allowed to do that?! Heck yeah they are.
You are a goddamn hero.

i know thereās no way for well-meaning allistic folks to win with the āperson with autismā vs āautistic personā debate but Boy Howdy āon the spectrumā sounds so euphemistic like We Canāt Say the A Word
āon the spectrumā is so damn weird and vague and like⦠a strange attempt at politely not mentioning being autistic with the implication being that autistic is a thing you donāt want to be
There also seems to be a weird divide betweenĀ āAutismā andĀ ādisplays autistic traitsā , like one isnāt asĀ ābadā as the other which is ridiculous as daily life withĀ āautistic traitsā can still be hard , and neither are things to be ashamed of.
Ladies and Gentlemen, you might want to take off your trousers and slip into a bathrobe because things are about to get pretty steamy in here.
Iām beyond excited to officially unveil for you the beautiful cover of my upcoming book, āStrangers Assume My Girlfriend Is My Nurse!ā
Iām sure many of you temporarily lost consciousness when your eyes fell upon the sheer sexiness of my girlfriend, Hannah, and I posing in such a sultry position, so Iāll give you a minute to regain your strength before I continue. I hope youāll wipe up your drool and keep reading because I have a few very important things to say about this book.
My name is Shane Burcaw, and I was born with a lovely muscle-wasting disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Iām working really hard to use my time on this earth to create a positive, lasting impact. Specifically, my goal is to change the way society looks at disability. This book is the next step in that journey.
One of the biggest stigmas about people with disabilities is that we are incapable and unworthy of romantic relationships. To give you an example, I run a YouTube channel with Hannah, and every time we post a new episode, people inevitably comment with theories as to why on earth we are dating. Here are just a few of my favorites:
āDonāt get me wrong - he seems like a good dude - but I aināt buying it. Sheās either his nurse or good friend and this is an act, or sheās got a couple screws loose.ā
āAsk yourself, would you date him? NO, YOU WOULDNāT. What is the catch here?ā
āThis [relationship] is abnormal and frankly disgusting.ā
Arenāt these fun? Jokes aside, this is but a small indication of the vast and innumerable ways that people with disabilities are discriminated against on a daily basis. I am determined to change that situation.
My strategy is humor. In āStrangers Assume My Girlfriend Is My Nurseā I use funny stories from my life to show readers that using a wheelchair is not some horrid, depressing existence. Iām a person, and my disability should not invoke pity or aversion, but rather, respect and love and kindness, just like we all deserve.
If you personally support that idea, please please please consider sharing this post. My ability to make a difference in this world is solely hinged upon spreading my story to as many people as possible, and YOU hold that power for me!
In celebration of my new book, and to raise funds for my nonprofit organization (which teaches children across the country about disability awareness and pride), I am hosting a HUGE online event scheduled for 8pm EST on November 27th. Entertainment will include a reading from āStrangers Assumeā, an open Q&A where you can ask me anything youād like, never-before-heard stories, and other special surprises! Your ticket purchase will help us provide adaptive technology to individuals living with muscular dystrophy in December 2018.
Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to share this exciting news. Below are all the important links you need regarding my new book and the live event on Nov 27th.
