sometimes i think about how so many people in pogtopia dismissed wilbur’s obviously concerning behavior/ laughed it off as “Ohh wilbur’s gone crazy.” the way he was told to be less of a downer during niki’s birthday party, the whole ordeal with fundy’s button prank, the overall idea that he had lost it but he’d be better when they needed him to be. And then i also think about his insistence that he wasn’t crazy, when tommy called him that to his face. Or when he told quackity to look at him and quit being scared of him.

Sometimes i just think about how alone he must have felt, being in the state he was in with everyone around him either mildly afraid of him or completely sure he was “crazy.” this first part of wilbur’s reddit comment on cwilbur has always hit me hard:

“Wilbur was suffering and no-one even looked at him or tried to help him.” this particular sentence along with the specific mention of paranoia and delusions is just so fucking sad, man. this is the same post that talks about his desire to be seen as human, too. S1 fucks me up so badly.
