I’ve been under a lot of pressure with school the past few days, and it almost feels like I just wanna snuggle with my bed, maybe a few movies here and there, and exchanging adventure and travel for rest. It’s quite ironic how I always feel so ‘exhausted’ (for lack of a better term) when it comes to my parents dragging me to go places, but always end up hype whenever I see the view.

Going on, contemplating different blog ideas for my blog, now I’m changing my travel and personal photography posts to “PhotoHeavy” (cheers to my beautiful friend, Faye Roco LOL). Anyway, hope you guys enjoy the photos and mind visiting Australia someday. xx

Recently, I got an opportunity to go for a photowalk to Perth City, together with my Photography Class. After all the post-processing and submitting, I definitely wouldn’t wanna put it into waste. Thus, I’ve decided why not share the excerpts to you guys? Anyway, this photowalk is entitled “The Hustle and Bustle of City Life”. I opt to show you guys a glimpse of what my city (Perth) really looks like. Hope you like them!

Everyone wants to wake up to a very good view beside them right? I personally am such an enthusiast when it comes to interior inspo's and design. This post will show you the elements to the perfect bedside table (that is according to me of course).

1. A night lamp / lampshade // Target, $20.00 (approx. 800Php)

Let's start off with the basics. Every bedside is also called a 'nightstand' (really depends how you wanna call it lol). It'll be the source of light on your dark nights. A good companion for late night readers like me. Besides, who wants to sleep with the fear of monsters on their bed right? 

2. A sketchbook/ notebook // Muji, $10.00 (approx. 400Php)

This is optional for everyone. But in my case, I get a lot of fresh artwork and creative images that come in my mind when I lie down in bed. Thus, I draw and jot all of them down on my special Muji sketchbook. 

3. Design Anthology // Fully Booked, (approx. 300-500Php)

I can't really remember the price. You can have different books depending on how you want them to look like. Most interior enthusiasts use thick fashion books, and coffee tables inspo's. But for me, I'll stick with my interior inspirations for my room.

4. Indoor plants // (approx. 100-1000Php)

This is ESSENTIAL. I would go for the green succulent, small kinds. But it really depends what kind of interior design you wanna go with. You can go from Modern, Classic, Traditional and all that jazz. You can be flexible however you wanna go. From fresh flowers to green leaves. It all really depends on you. Go for it!

5. Macbook Pro // Apple, $1,200 (approx. 50,000PhP)

Now now, I ain't bashing any other brands! Even some Windows laptops run faster than mine. Still placing the prices though, just in case you looking forward to getting one! LOL! #TeamMacBook. Since I blog, I like to blog random things late at night. Or anytime I want tbh.

6. Prom Memorabilia // approx. (worthless)

Nothing can exchange to this memory of me. I got it back in senior year high school. Here, I place old instax photos with friends and their special letters for me. I reminisce whenever I feel alone and fill myself with a little sanity.

7. Notebook // Typo, $5-15 (approx. 200-600Php)

Here, I write recipes and secret equations to my plans. Perhaps infused water ingredients, outfit plans, photography ideas or even my Instagram photo plans. I can doodle, write or even write a random thought. Just a little companion slash diary for your own use. ;)

9. Eau Roma Water Toner Water // LUSH, $20.00 (approx. 800PhP)

You can get the smaller grams. But I guess this is essential for me, I make sure to spray a little bit on my face every night just to make sure it's clean, most of the time when I'm too lazy to wash my face.

You can get yours at quintessential_ on Instagram. But I just use the water bottle, cos apparently it just inspires me to drink more, you know? lol

Perfect for people with messy rooms like me. I always make sure my room smells good. And because of that, I light it every night to make a little more relaxing and a snooze off from a tiring day.

I got mine at a bazaar at Eastwood. It has a jelly inside that you can put on the fridge. Place it in your eyes and help relax and lose the heavy eyebags. But apparently, it's quite unhealthy to do it so often. So maybe once in a while yeah?

Just to make sure I dont burn the house down eh? Better to be safe and sorry, just make sure there's a hole on top to put out the flames, just so you wouldn't have to worry about getting it out. You can use fake candles tho ;)

Prologue (you can skip this): So, I'm adding this new category under my personal posts entitled "The Weekly Sentimental". What I'm talking about here are random things that mean something to me. Posts may include some of my old stuff, and some new stuff. But the real point is about me talking about stuff that remind me of something, somewhere and even someone. Hoping this could help introduce or express myself to you guys even more. Moving on...

A knit sweater. It's thick, it's warm, and cozy. Every time I go shopping for new clothes, I always tend to check out the outerwear over the basics. These work as statement pieces to me. I could wear any shirt inside and just wear it over it and it tends to give a different vibe instantly. It reminds me of the cold, the winter. Ever since I was little, I always tend to enjoy the rainy days more than the sunny days. These are the days I feel self-retreat and safety. These are the usual times when everyone else stay at home instead and have a better time together as a family.

Back to the first time I went to Perth, it was the first time I realised how distance is such a big deal in life. Distance creates distance. It creates a cut in ropes connecting relationships. It was in the winter when I got the saddest and frustrated of how distance sucks. I'm away from my friends, my lifestyle, I feel as if I'm a totally different person. But it was also in winter, when I learned to accept and appreciate the optimistic. The cold, it's freezing, and too much can bring pain to your skin. Winter is a sign of new beginnings. The leaves may fall off but it's the meaning in life to fall and grow again beautifully, nurturing and relishing the different colours of life.

I've been browsing a lot photos through my Instagram account lately, and I got really wanderlust-ed as soon as I've scrolled through travel posts! From Seville, to Belgium, and even the Philippines! It ain't my fault I follow too many bloggers! From a long list of plannings and travel lists, fambam finally decided to conquer Ilocos Sur! We've stayed in Ilocos for a total of 2 nights and 3 days (technically). Hopefully, my photos could give justice to show how beautiful the Philippines is! 

Ilocos was a long drive! Probably took atleast 8 hours to get there from the metro. So, for a safe plan, we left the house at exactly 3AM! We got to Ilocos at almost after lunch, without stopovers!

We were stopping through random spots of beautiful view of beaches and shores. As much as I wanted to swim, duh, it wasn't possible. Perhaps just looking at it is much more beautiful than actually being in it. 

Due to a trip unplanned thoroughly, we ended up having a hard time looking for a decent place to stay. From Vigan, travelling pass to Laoag, we've checked every hotel possible, and ended up at Pamulinawen Hotel which is just at the end of Laoag.

By the time we got there, the sun was about to set. Here comes the part hence my introduction; how technically, it wasn't a day. Was able to witness such a beautiful sky gradient with a mix of scarlet to purple. Getting to the hotel, resting for around 2 hours, and getting up at 7pm to grab dinner out.

The second day's agenda was all about Kapurpuran Rock Formation. Going here would also give you the chance to witness the beautiful wind mills along the ocean. It took almost a 5-10 minute trek down the hill, but it was all worth it. Just make sure you don't use a pair of good shoes! Don't even dare wearing slippers too! Perhaps something, sturdy, comfortable and ready to be scratched and dirt friendly. :)

Here's some locals with their horses around. Wouldn't judge them, cos mind you! It was quite hard not to fall and get scratched. My cousin even got his knee scratched without having any idea where he got it :( I love how the rock formations look like those tiny islands we usually see in a map. 

Aside from Kapurpuran, we were in search with the main view that came in the postcards. So, we asked local arounds and lead us there. 

It had the perfect view of the ocean, and just what my eyes were looking for. Too bad we couldn't stay for long.. :( The wind was quite strong, blowing the sand towards our face.

Last itinerary for the day was the Patapat Viaduct or what they usually call as the "Patapat Bridge". The view reminded me of those classic tumblr photos with inspirational quotes. Let's just say, it didn't look like it was in the Philippines! Not to be racist or anything, but I guess that's the point that came to it. We have no idea how much hidden treasures there are in the country.

The day started in Fort Ilocandia; we transferred hotels on the second night to be closer to Vigan the third day. Witnessed the beautiful sunrise together with the silhouettes of coconut trees. Had a little dip in the pool, breakfast buffet and apparently squeezed in a little amount of time to finish my video blog (which will be below).

The food was apparently very good. I would love to have breakfast here everyday. Despite the limited choices and varieties, there was enough to keep me going. Today's last and final itinerary; drop by President Marcos' museum, and mausoleum,  go back to Vigan and give the rest of the day dedicated to beautiful Calle Crisologo.

I'm gonna say this was probably my favorite part of the trip. The time was perfect, enough sunlight to get the perfect photos. By the time I got there, there was only a few people (and by 'few', I mean enough to not get in jam-packed). Ending this photo diary with a whole lot more photos from Calle Crisologo. Life is just like a photograph, there is negative space, the background and positive space, the subject. As 2014 has come and gone, another year, means another chance to start over. It serves as a symbol of change and self-retreat; reflection. From hairstyles to tan lines, a lot of new things fall into places. Just like a photograph, another year means another picture, and you are the subject in every portrait. You are the positive space. Yes, there will be problems at first, like; the wrong shade of colour, the wrong paint brush. But every artist knows how to build his/her way out of every dilemma.  At the end, the fate all depends on your own volition. Happy 2015 everyone!

T'was a gloomy weekend together with family to head over to Tagaytay. After almost half an hour of contemplating on what to wear, I've finally decided to go with an oversized shirt and my favorite pair. Luckily, after a couple of lazy and idle weeks, we've finally decided to have lunch out together. Being the curious little guy that I am and a little negotiation with my mom, voila! brunch! or more like 'breakfast' at Antonios. ;) Enjoy the photos! xx

I love the arrangement of their utensils, intelligent choice of using knives instead of spoons. 

You wouldn't have to worry about the ambiance around here. Thanks to the amazing exterior and interior of the place, no wonder it's a very good restaurant around. Mixing the native, wooden exteriors with modern interior, no problemo when it comes to being a timeless resto. 

Overall, I really enjoyed brunch, not just because of the family, but because of the amazing and different vibe of the food. It may seem like your typical kind of ribs, but it gave a different vibe. Unlike other kinds that remind me of past memories, it made a new one in every slice.

One of the most wonderful spots I took my outfit shots in! Will make sure to come here and bring other people with me. ;) Till next time, Neil xx

Roadtrips to Tagaytay with the family; stopovers, photos, and 'breakfast' at Antonio's. On gloomy days like these, I opt to wear an oversized shirt paired with joggers and my favorite pair. Just like Breakfast at Tiffany's, grey shirts and all white Nike's will stay a classic! Regardless of the colors, basic shirts and sneakers will be timeless! Mix it with a leather bomber jacket, green hues around, and voila, you got yourself a perfect roadtrip outfit with the fambam! ;)

It's only a couple more days till I leave this city -Perth. Living another day full of mystery and adventure. Walking around the metro looking for the perfect outfit spots. Glancing through shop mannequins and restaurant windows, wondering ways of relishing my free days. Eventually, passed by the perfect cigarette alley to match my outfit's dark, indie vibe. Despite the first impressions of hidden alleys, the view of ashes and cigarette butts on the floor brought the beauty to it. That's in my opinion, at least.

The sound of my morning alarms are one of my motivations to get up and get going. Time has been ticking fast lately. Ever since the big drift in my life brought me to where I am, it has made me realise how time matters so much. The simple 5 minutes I take just staring at the mirror are one of the simple things to cherish and thank the Lord for. Can't wait for Manila! See ya soon PH! xx

Photographs are keys to open the doors leading to your memories and imagination. The memories may have faded through time, but I will always remember the happy moments I took these photos. Let these photographs show you the beauty I’ve seen through my eyes with the help of my camera lens.

People crave too much of the peaceful and blissful getaways. Sydney was a different city to me. It had a crowded vibe that sort of matched the perfect different kind of person that I am. The soft whispers of people that built up into a large crowd chorus reminded me of the nostalgic happy days of the past years.

How much I could wish that my photos would be as accurate as possible. I tried my best to blend it with the feels I had every time I clicked the camera shutter. Sydney had a mellow feel, the actual hues of the scenery were of faded polaroids, but that's what I loved about it.

The old designed buildings reminded me of the beautiful Manila way back then. It showed me a different perspective to "Aussie". The expectations of people of it being a megacity proved how different it is (but in a good way).

Hardships will fall upon me once again soon. By soon, I mean in 2 days. Tasks, quizzes, revisions, they shall all come back to me again. Goodbye are those days in which I stay up till 5 AM waiting for the sun to shine to serve as a sign for me to sleep. Goodbye are those late night movie marathons, blogging and post-processing. I hope the proper determination will guide me along with God's help.

Everyday is a struggle, a task, a battle we must fight. It relies upon us on how we manage to deal with these. No matter how easy or how hard it looks, it will always depend on how we deal with the dilemma. The proper mindset and optimism is key to accomplishing these. If we deal the obstacles with anger and rage, it will only lead us to frustration and failure. Let's keep pushing with perseverance and integrity that in the end we will achieve success and happiness. See ya xx

You don't wake up everyday being sixteen. Another 365 days passed, another 1 year passed. As much as it hurts to hold on to sixteen, I gotta go on to seventeen. The past year was a very challenging year, probably the year with a lot of changes in me and my life. I pray myself another year full of success and happiness to lead me, guide me and motivate me. I wish for seventeen to be a good year of moulding me into a better person.

This year I hope to be the best that I could be and to improve in my certain craft. Not only do I want to be better on these, but to learn more crafts than usual. I hope as I am seventeen, I grow older and wiser but not mature. I still hope to be the childlike personality that I am. However, I wish for more good things to come in my way. I pray to God to continue showering me with blessings and to keep me healthy. Thank you Lord for another year.

Life Lately

Life lately.. Here I am blogging on one of my free days in a 2 weeks holidays. My days obviously have been a chance for me to manage my blog, improve my photography and practice my post processing. But besides all of those social media stuff, it's also a time for me to go back and just be the hell weird kind of person I am.

I'll have to admit! Mom picks these up on the floor and almost every corner of the house. This serves as a storage for files such as movies,photos and yknow.

I hope I'm not the only one who reads mindset and vocabulary books. This helps me alot! Especially with dealing with peers, blogging and cyber people. I always try to give justice to my blog by trying my best to improve in my creative writing and vocabulary.

My style has evolved a lot in the past months. Now, I'm focusing on the basics looks. I'm now more into monochromatic looks; black, white, denim with a drop of indie grunge in them. I tend to be minimalist but impacting in the same time. 

As a blogger, I need a lot inspirations and creative ideas to come in my mind. In my case, I get inspiration from the weirdest things in the world. I get inspiration from horror movies, chick flicks and a whole lot of different genres of movies. I'll have to admit, I love horror movies, as long as I'm with someone though.

5 Afterlight Filters

Let’s admit it! Taking photos is one hobby I’m pretty sure everyone would relate to. In our generation, almost anyone with a smart device can take photos. I’ll have to admit, I myself am very fond of taking photos. This explains why I’m so frustrated and obsessed with my Instagram feed. Photography plays a good role in our life. But, post-processing is one key task everyone does before posting. Thus, I have compiled 5 different filters from Afterlight.

I’m pretty sure everyone is focused on the clean, crisp and sharp photo filters/presets. But I’m pretty sure some poeple still appreciate the overly filtered photos. But don’t worry! This post will have filters that vary from minimalist, to vintage, to retro etc. P.S. The filter names are after songs of Ariana Grande.

Let’s start with a minimalist filter. If you’re photo is already bright and properly lighted, then feel free to adjust the brightness and contrast of your image.This filter is perfect for the photos with a lot of white and black dominant shades.

This is a classic look. This was my filter back when people sported the whole faded and shadow-y look in their photos. This will absolutely look good with almost anything! Especially those photos with a lot of bold colors and black backgrounds!

Since people are sporting the whole low saturated look nowadays. This filter will look good for the oversaturated photos. Some people tend to use the iPhone’s ‘chrome’ filter. This will match the photos with the overly colored hues! 

Since everything is too minimalist, then let’s bring bak the overly filtered photos! This filter , although is too much, really looks good on photos with a lot of red drops of colour and those bright white backgrounds! This filter will make your photo scream out “harajuku” in a way. Perfect for the girly girls who love pink!

Since a lot of people are sporting the whole denim and black looks, here’s one that matches those perfectly. If the blue is too much, adjust the rain filter to 50% depending on your preference. But make sure the russ filter is 100%!
