twilight but it’s like. a 2015 wattpad fic written in all lowercase
we deserved a bunch of scenes of bella’s “edward and alice join the volturi” scenario if only so that ashley and michael could play lots more dumb hand games on set
Alistair lives in a series of tree houses scattered around England.
Spending his time in the attic? It’s cause it reminds him of his tree houses.
Standing in a tree watching Bella try to expand her shield? It’s cause it reminds him of his tree houses.
No I do not take criticism.
I think if a murderer wanted to lure me out of my room all they’d have to do is turn off my wifi cause sure as shit I’m gonna go see why it isn’t working
touch my wifi you asshole and i wont be the one whos getting murdered tonight
straighties are wild
I mean its all Midnight Sun this, Midnight Sun that. But like? Where do I sign the petition to get New Moon from Jacob's POV? By the time we get his prospective in br*aking d*wn, stephie's already had him on a steady diet of bitch juice for two (2) books and hes about imprint on a baby.
All I'm saying is like... what if after the iconic months passing pages she'd hit us w Jacob POV? Imagine the chapter names. Imagine the mind of sweet boy Jacob. Becoming a werewolf. The angst of being a werewolf and not being able to tell bella. The Pack content.
Then his POV will end when bella leaves for Italy. The tragedy. The drama.
basically, i think the general rule of thumb is: if someone REALLY wants the blood that’s inside of your body, and they’re like… a vampire, or a dracula, or some sort of mansquito, then that’s probably okay. a dracula and a mansquito are made for removing things like blood and swords from inside your body. that’s basically fine.
if something wants to get at your blood, and they’re, say, some kind of murdersaurus, or maybe a really big frog, that’s where the problems start to arise. a really frog is not made for removing blood, and your blood knows this, which is why it is so vehement about wanting to stay IN your body instead of coming out.
unfortunately this will not deter a really big frog, because a really big frog is full of things like prizes, and value, and quite a lot of hatred, and it would REALLY rather like to replace any and all of those things with your blood, and basically by any means possible.
These words scan with a fantastic degree of confidence considering that together they make no sense at all
i love one (1) disaster wizard
It’s a good metaphor tho, because the situation is never going to get better if you don’t eventually pull the door. And afterwards, no matter what the damage was, you’ll have a working cabinet, whatever plates you could salvage, and a place to start putting new plates.
Reblogging for that comment ^
Hats off for negative jokes turned to wholesome posts
So this was me for a long time. Afraid to open the door, certain that all that I was would crash and break. That I could never be repaired.
But I opened the door.
And what fell out and crashed to the ground was not me. They weren’t my dishes.
They were other people’s dishes.
Put inside we without my permission, when I was too young to know that I could not hold them all.
I opened the door, and I’m still here.
It turns out, I’m not that fragile.
Oh damn it got better
*stands up, applauds*
but monsterfuckers, have you considered that humans are the real monsters
There’s a difference between ‘monstrous in size’, ‘monstrously-endowed’, ‘monstrously-witted’, and a monstrously horrible personality.
Guess which category most humans fall into.
None of them?
“Yeah Godzilla is cool but have you considered Homo sapiens can say the n-word?”
so I’m rereading bella’s transformation, and she mentions having had venom and morphine in her veins before (from when james bit her) and I was thinking it would be very interesting to consider if that venom had actually made a difference to her in the intervening years. like, sure the process was halted pretty quickly, but it’s not like a computer program that has to download and then it’ll install. the venom starts its work right away, and that work is not undone even if it is quickly halted. so maybe after twilight bella is slightly stronger, slightly better at hearing, smelling. it’s slight and she attributes it to “bouncing back” well from her injuries. it’s why, in breaking dawn, when pregnant bella has to drink blood, that it smells and tastes good to her, despite the fact that a couple of books ago blood made her faint. it’s the reason she and edward were able to have a baby at all, despite the supposed chromosomal discrepancy between humans and vampires. you could consider her a carrier, perhaps. it gave her this edge, these hints of vampire traits while still stuck with frail human body systems.
the consistency……. smeyer wishes!
Honestly this could explain why she physically sees projections of Edward whenever she’d do something reckless in New Moon. Then after her transformation, this skill is heightened and her power is to project force fields and memories or thoughts.
Honestly I’m not a bio expert, but there must have to be some level of genetic compatibility of vampire venom with human blood in order for transformation to happen at all, so there is already some previous compatibility that exists.
Which means that theoretically, any human female should be able to have children with a male vampire (what with their wack body chemistry allowing them to be able to produce semen after being dead), but she should not be able to survive the ordeal or be able to carry the child to term. One of the reasons why Bella was able to do the above was presumably because of the lingering venom in her system.
I’m not sure if I remember correctly, but it has been mentioned that the bite on her skin shimmers in the sun - that was the primary site of injection of the venom, so it would make sense. Also (again, not sure if I remember correctly), but didn’t the wolves say she smelled a little funny? That could also be because of the lingering venom in her system.
This also explains her growing pallor and the many jokes about her being half a vampire, because in a sense, wasn’t she genetically partially one?
Y'all are so clever and talented
And it could possibly be why in later books (Eclipse) she doesn’t get woozy from her own blood?? Like when she cut her finger to spread it on the tree before the battle? (I could be misremembering)
YOU ARE RIGHT AND YOU SHOULD SAY IT

Why did Carlisle let or make Edward suck out James's blood at the end of Twilight? Edward has enough medical experience to administer drugs or do a tourquinet, and Carlisle has MUCH more control. Not to mention that BELLA IS EDWARD'S SINGER. It makes NO sense to have the guy MOST tempted by her blood do the sucking versus the guy who is LEAST tempted by ANYONE'S blood.
The short, and probably accurate, answer is drama/romance. I honestly think it was on SM more than the characters. The reason is that having Carlisle do it just doesn’t feed the romance and drama as much as having Edward do it. Does it make the most sense for the situation and characters? Nope! But if Carlisle did it, you wouldn’t get the “It was impossible to stop, but I did, I must really love you” and “Edward, my angel!! Wow he must really love me!” stuff. As I’ve said before, one of the strengths of SM’s writing is the sort of stream of consciousness, in the moment style. It’s so so easy to get swept up in it. But one of the downsides of this is that she’s so there in the moment that sometimes she seems to pick the most dramatic way for something to happen rather than the most logical way. This is one of those things. It makes infinitely more sense for Carlisle to do it. He HAS tasted human blood before–four times–and was able to stop every single time. He 100% could do it–I mean, even later in the series he offers to change Bella himself because it’s the safest option. The in-text explanation is that Carlisle can’t do it because he’s treating her other wounds which would make a certain sense… if SM hadn’t told us that EDWARD has been to medical school twice. Sure, he hasn’t practiced, so we wouldn’t want him to perform any surgeries (and yet … he does in BD, essentially!), but he could certainly handle applying pressure to a wound, right? That’s not advanced surgery, it’s pretty basic first aid? But it had to be Edward for the drama/romance. He’s the romantic hero, having someone else do it would rob him of getting to be the hero, even though it makes… way more sense and is much safer. It’s kind of the same reason that Edward and Bella have to be the one to kill Aro in the Alice’s vision in the BD 2 movie. Everyone else gets to have specific revenge, so it should have been Esme to kill him to avenge Carlisle, right? But no–the main characters/heroes need to kill the big bad. And so Edward has to “save” Bella here. And there’s the whole issue where ‘saving’ her from becoming a vampire, in retrospect, becomes kind of pointless. It would have saved Bella and the Cullens a ton of problems if they just let her turn right then, and when she DOES become a vampire she LOVES it and is easy for her so all their hand-wringing and warnings in the middle books feels unnecessary. There’s Charlie, of course, but given how things went down in BD, I’m sure they’d have found some way to keep him in Bella’s life even with a turned-by-James scenario. I was honestly shocked that in Life & Death she went a different way, there.
