white europeans love to pretend like the united states and europe aren’t two cheeks of the same ass
Listen, nobody who's ever opened a history book says we didn't do that shit first. Pick an atrocity and chances are there was a time europeans did it on mass to someone for the sake of profit. The difference, is that we have for the most part put that behind us, while the US is just sinking deeper and deeper into it. We're not perfect, and we were a lot worse in the past. But it has been a while since we were the problem
so the racism, antiblackness, islamophobia, and hatred for immigrants just disappeared huh
"its been a while since we were the problem" someone Black was murdered by police violence in Ireland last month
THERE ARE POGROMS HAPPENING AGAINST IMMIGRANTS, MUSLIMS, AND PEOPLE OF COLOR IN IRELAND AND SCOTLAND AS WE SPEAK
@hiimneptune
"transmasculine nonbinary people" and "transfeminine nonbinary people" with no mention of transneutral nonbinary people is creating a binary, actually.
and no, these categories don't include intersex people.
"This system, that has only two options where EVERYBODY must fall over isnt a binary actually"
Ok so?? Do You not know what binary means or????
also the fucking wild thing about this is that, ostensibly, the whole fucking reason to use "TMA" is to include people who aren't trans women, right? if you are defining TMA as "trans women and transfeminine people" then why the fuck don't you just say trans women and transfeminine people, and non-transfems in place of TME? if that's the only groups that are affected by transmisogyny, why use an acronym that is, outside of certain spaces, quite obscure into comparison to "trans women and transfems"?
especially when like. these terms are only well known in trans spaces and are mostly brought up when talking about intracommunity issues. its disingenuous to say "well cis men and women are TME too!" when you'd hardly ever know that just based on how people actually use it. and again either way, if this is how the terms are defined, then there's literally no reason to not just say "non-transfems" since that is obviously what is actually meant.
its just very transparent in posts like these that people are not actually interested in meaningfully advocating for nonbinary people assigned male who they can't treat as "basically a (trans) woman." they aren't interested in advocating against exorsexism, because to do that would require them to not view nonbinary people as "afab / transmascs vs amab / transfems" but to acknowledge that nonbinary people can and do have more in common with each other than binary trans or cis people who share their assigned gender. folks will bring up nonbinary people assigned male being excluded from "women and nonbinary" events as proof of how privileged TME nonbinary people are, completely ignoring that nonbinary people assigned female who have transitioned to look more masculine are frequently treated the exact same, because they only care about nonbinary people to the extent we can be used to support binary trans people's goals.
there is no way you can support nonbinary people assigned male without supporting nonbinary people assigned female and intersex nonbinary people, and you can't support any of us with a static binary framework of gender or gender oppression. as has been said before
if you want TME/TMA to not be about people's AGAB and their genitals, if you actually want it to just be a framework of people's relationship to transmisogyny, then it has to be about people's relationship to transmisogyny. you cannot both claim it has nothing to do with people's bodies and genitals and AGAB and talk big game about not associating trans people with their AGAB and transfeminist materialism blah blah blah and also have highly AGAB-based rules about how people are make sense of their relationship to transmisogyny.

Everybody say thank you indigenous people of present-day southern Peru and extreme northwestern Bolivia from 7-10,000 years ago for the humble potato
