Lewis wouldn't have been offended if he had come without him, masturbating with him next to him in bed, while the Lewis of his imagination made him his own, right? After all, he was doing it to guarantee him immediate access to his body as soon as he woke up, he was making his job easier. The fact that George was by then immersed in pleasure, well beyond the point of no return to stop, was another matter.

collars not being a sign of ownership but mating or marriage that mated partners wear or ones in the process of courting
omegas can lactate during heat as a bonding ability
anyone can nest
omegas being evolutionarily more dangerous (shorter canines, but sharper—clawed nails, etc.)
omegas lactating when stressed or worried about their pack going hungry
alphas with a tendency to prowl around land they've scented or marked
betas with the ability to have sympathy cycles where their body syncs with their partners (if their partner is going into a heat they can form a knot and go into a faux rut, visa versa slick, etc.)
betas can scout for potential threats or potential pack members with an ability to "mute" their scent or to make their scents "non-threatening"

The sunlight passes through the dark shield of George's shut eyes, but it's the hollow feeling in his chest, the cold chill in his blood, and the aching throb in his brain that wakes him up.
It's the day after his wedding supposed wedding and he's all alone in an unfamiliar hotel honeymoon suite surrounded by the remnants of what was supposed to be the happiest day of his life.
The white suit jacket embroidered—with their combined initials—rumpled on the floor, flower boquet slumping sadly in its makeshift hotel water glass vase, bright blue necktie thrown over the TV, dress shoes and socks blocking the entrance of the en suite, suitcase open with his skincare bag—open as well—on top, a table full of snacks and an empty bottle of wine—courtesy of Alex and Lando, supporting him through everything—and of course, George's written vows resting right beside his body, full of tear marks. Both from when he was writing them a week ago and from when he was bawling his eyes out last night.
His eyes inevitably starts watering again and George wonders where the fuck is all this hydration coming from and when can his eyes stop crying over, over his fiancé, no, over his ex-fiancé, ex-boyfriend, and never-husband.
George does not know where Lewis is. Does not know how to know where he is, how to reach out, or how to just simply send a message of why. He doesn't understand anything because he was left waiting at the altar, only for his bastard of a friend Seb told them that he's ran away, after an hour of waiting, messaging, and hoping.
An hour of standing in the most beautiful chapel they agreed on, in the wedding suits Lewis loved, with the people they both love and that loves them back as witnesses.
Witnesses of watching George hold on to his vows, how he read them over and over again, how he lifted his head high and pray that Lewis just need...to breathe. And that he will eventually come back.
He didn't.
So, George dismissed the guests. He apologized and apologized, while leading them to the reception place just so the guilt will lessen in wasting their time. He tries to meet the eyes of Lewis' family and friends, while he avoids his family's and friend's. When George has gotten to the last of the guests, Alex and Lando are the ones he can only look straight in the eyes with all the anguish he feels.
They then tell him that their boyfriends—Logan and Oscar—will take care of the guests on behalf of him and that it is their turn to take care of George.
Meaning: going to his honeymoon supposed honeymoon suite, eating all the snacks it has to offer, drinking the complimentary bottle of shitty red wine, and crying all over his vows that made it to the aisle but never heard by the one person that matters.
George closes his red, puffy eyes and tries inhaling-exhaling to stop another breakdown. Once he gathered a few of composure he has left, his eyes open once again and drifts down to the vows he's written.
Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton. My love. My soon-to-be husband, in a few after these vows. I am in awe of you. I am in awe of how we have been made to meet, to know, to love and now, to forever. I know you tell me to stop saying this, but I truly do not know what I did to deserve you. To have someone like you who knows who I am deep down and to still love me for all my flaws, insecurities, and brokenness. You have helped me in finding love for those parts of me, for that, I thank you. I hope that through what I do, through my entire being, I am able to show and give you the love I have for you. I will make sure that every single day, for the rest of our lives, there will be someone to love you, cheer on you, and support you through all good and bad times. For better, for worse. For richer, for poorer. In sickness and in health. I love you, my Lewis.
George was right, he hasn't done anything worthy of deserving Lewis. Maybe that's why there's no ring in his finger, no -Hamilton in his surname, and no Lewis beside him.
