I have some advice to make dentist/ortho appointments less stressful and difficult.

Bring something for your hands to fidget with

If something is difficult for you, or something triggers sensory issues for you, say it. I did this and the dentist made sure I was comfortable, and was very accommodating. If you are too nervous to talk about it, write your boundaries, struggles, sensory issues, and what you’d like them to do to accommodate thats on a piece of paper then give it to them.

Bring a comfort item.

if your a minor and still go to the kids dentist(me because teenager) and they offer toys as a reward. Take it. It’s free.
