I’ve made some color changes that I’m aware not everybody will like, but imo they work better as a set this way, and I’m a little pedantic about sets, sorry!
If anyone gets prints, pleeease tell me about them when they arrive, I’ve never sold prints before and I’m very curios what you think and how the quality turns out.
If you have a moment, could you tell me which of these four illustration is your favorite, and why? Always curious about people’s thoughts on the things I draw :>
Also apologies in advance to my followers, I will reblog this. A lot :^)

Here’s further awesome proof that cosplay is for everyone! Brazilian cosplayer Solange, aka Tia sol (“Aunty Sun”) has won the heart of the internet with her wonderfully accurate homemade costumes and convention appearances around her home city of Manaus, Brazil.
“A friend said that I wouldn’t have the guts,” Solange told BuzzFeed News. “I chose a character and had the costume made without saying another word.”
“I don’t miss a single event in my city. I’d really like to visit other ones, but have you seen the price of the fares?”
“I never thought that I would be well received among the young people, I’ve made a lot of friends during all of this.” Cosplay conventions have become a sort of a haven for Solange: “I can launch myself into the world of make-believe, where anything goes.” Her next event is coming up in December. “I’m finishing up the painting on my new cosplay, Granny Juju from Jorel’s Brother.”
Follow Tia Sol on Facebook to keep up with her latest cosplay creations.

6 zoo myths that arent true
Most behaviors that you see keepers demonstrate at the zoo or aquarium are natural behaviors that the animals do in the wild. When the animals do them, the keepers give them a treat and pair it with a gesture or a word, so that they associate them, and eventually the word or gesture is enough to elicit the behavior because the animal knows that there’s a reward. But here’s the thing: most of those behaviors are encouraged because they help veterinarians and keepers do health checks.
Yeah, its cute when they nose boop the stick, but also keepers need to check their vision and depth perception and mobility. Sea lions are so cute when they wave! But vets and keepers need to check under those flippers to make sure that they’re healthy and that they don’t have any restrictions on their motion or cuts on their skin. Why do they ask animals to jump? Again, to make sure that they’re healthy, and also because its fun and animals LOVE to move around and jump and have fun, its mentally stimulating.
This is the most important thing I will ever reblog and anyone who is still ignorant enough to think zoos are awful can fuck off my blog. Zoos are necessary. If you think otherwise please unfollow me because I don’t want you here.
This is super important for people to see. I have worked at a zoo and I can not tell you how many times I’ve had to defend the zoo for the good they do. People need to learn that zoos are actually helping save endangered species.
also, a lot of animals just plain enjoy interacting with people. they’re curious and if they feel safe they’ll go for it, even in the wild. if you haven’t seen that series of videos with the ‘ocelittle’ playing with coyote peterson, look it up. an adolescent ocelot, completely wild, has taken to hanging out with people on a park trail, and is bold enough to climb all over you and rassle with your pack straps. not because people feed her, that’s not allowed. just because you’re interesting and humans have never hurt her.
there are lots of places in the world where animals that would normally be shy of humans have lived for generations without threats from us or our vicinity (pets, vehicles, chemicals, etc) and they become extremely friendly. that japanese deer park comes to mind.
being stressed by humans is either a survival behavior because we’re a danger, or a reaction to the unknown. it goes away once the animal learns we’re ok. even wild caught animals chill out after a bit – my pet toad was wild caught (or rather, sort of wild-caught himself, as i found him in my basement and kept him because it was too late in the year for him to start hibernating) and while i don’t handle him excessively, he stopped being wary of hands after about a month. now we can clean his water dish or smooth out his diggy holes and he’ll just sit there two inches away from our fingers, relaxing. doesn’t even hide behind his log.
animals born in the zoo and cared for by humans from birth are absolutely not stressed by human interaction. most would probably be very sad if humans stopped interacting. they still have a lot of wild instincts, they’re not pets, they’re not domesticated. but they are used to bipedal folk hanging around, and they’re doing fine.
