Do not pit Carter women against each other. Do not assume that Peggy would come back from the death to punch Sharon in the face for touching “her” Steve.
This is not about who deserves Steve (stop treating Steve like a prize), if you actually left your irrational hate behind, you would see how important is the CARTER LEGACY.
Because honestly, who do you think is more important to Peggy, the man she loved and respected but never got to be with, not even while he was still alive because they both were busy fighting nazis, or her niece/great-niece, her own blood?
Just imagine for a moment this:
Peggy Carter holding a baby Sharon in her arms, rocking her until she falls asleep.
A little Sharon sitting next to Peggy on the couch, listening to her aunt’s stories with the cutest smile on her face.
A little Sharon falling asleep on Peggy’s lap, telling her how she wants to be like her when she grows up.
Peggy kissing little Sharon’s forehead after she tucks her in, and tells her that she loves her.
Little Sharon making drawings for her favorite aunt.
Peggy constantly reminding Sharon that no matter what the others say, she should know her value.
Peggy cheering Sharon up the first time a boy breaks her heart.
Sharon taking care of Peggy when she starts to become ill, just like Peggy would watch her whenever she got sick when she was a child.
I could go on and on, but nothing would ever be enough to explain the bond these two great women share. Instead of worrying about Sharon getting near Steve (a man that after all only kissed her aunt once and it isn’t like Peggy spent the rest of her life depressed after his death), we should be worried about whether we are going to see this connection in the MCU or not.
Please, Marvel, give me all the Carter Legacy.
