Another Change of Pace
So, I’m going to change up how I use Tumblr again because the things I was doing here just aren’t working for me either due to time or interest or both.
I plan to still post “description” comics every so often [of which I’ve only posted one so far] - they’re just rough sketch comics that introduce and describe a certain character, concept, location or idea that will appear in some of my bigger projects in the future. But these comics will be very few and far between.
What I’ll be doing here most of the time instead, hopefully daily if I can, is posting my warm-ups. Every day I challenge myself to both draw and write, but every week I only place one specific task on myself to complete and that one specific task only ever usually requires me to either write or draw, not both. So, whichever the larger project doesn’t call for will instead be reserved for my warm up.
For instance, this week I’m animating something which requires me to draw. So because my main focus is drawing, my warm ups this week will all be writing warm ups.
So, what I’ll do is number a hand-full of my OCs, find a prompt generator [for both drawing and writing warm ups] and then randomly generate a number to choose an OC for that prompt to focus around. Then I’ll either do a quick sketch or write up five, five-sentence paragraphs max that relate to that prompt and OC and post it here.
Hopefully this works better and helps me to post more often here while also showing you guys what I’m capable of both in drawing and writing. :3
