please know it’s people like you who ruin fandom. ship wars, saying you hate one kind of stan or arguing like a dick because it doesn’t align with your feelings. let people ship what they want. let people have feelings for who they want. let people feel what they feel because fandom is supposed to be fun. it’s supposed to be enjoyable and a place to spout your own ideas and piggy back on others and have fun. even if you don’t agree.

this is why i stopped writing fanfiction or putting head canons on things. the teen wolf fandom was a mess of ship wars and i couldn’t ship anyone without getting someone jumping down my throat

In Case Anyone Was Wondering

My top five definitive ranking of teen wolf characters and why I think they are amazing.

1) ALLISON ARGENT : not only did she have the best character development in comparison to anybody in the show (yes, I am not exaggerating. Yes, I will fight you on that) she was incredibly sweet and brace despite the confusion she was surrounded by. It’s so difficult to even imagine finding out about the things she did, and being surrounded by influences like Gerard and the other hunters- it makes it even more amazing that she conquered the odds and fought alongside her pack. Other than the fact that she was an absolutely kickass character overall, and didn’t need supernatural powers to be amazing- you have to note the sheer amount of trauma she went through. Kate may have been a villain, but to a seventeen-year-old girl who had just found or were wolves were real: she had witnessed the murder of her aunt right in front of her eyes. Such a sweet, courageous little cutie who never expected to be launched into a war she was unaware of. Being stabbed was the worst thing that could happen to a girl who was just tying to be a good friend.

2) STILES STILINSKI: Before I start praising this character for his amazing everything, we must acknowledge the fact that he is not as perfect as the fandom sees him. Stiles is funny, loving, caring, and charismatic- but you have to acknowledge he is stubborn, hard headed, and unfair. He never took the fact that Lydia wasn’t interested factor into his actions and never properly broke up with Malia after everything they had been through. People need to stop acknowledging the good parts of stiles without acknowledging his darker side. But aside from that- we can’t forget the fact that he is an awesome meme of a character, and the reason I was easily able to point his flaws is because I identify with his character as many others in the fandom do. He is a character who obviously struggles with mental health issues and is still out there kicking butt with the rest of the characters, lifting up each episode he is in with his brilliance and wit.

3) SCOOT MCCOOL: Yes! Omigod we are finally talking about the person who put the tween woof in teen wolf. Though he might have noble ideals that might seem annoying to the viewers at times, his cities contribute to his true alpha nature and make him one of the few pure characters on teen wolf. He deserves the world, and I don’t think I need to point it out but he is absolutely adorable and sweet but could also slit your neck if you crossed him. I love that though he gets more powerful through the seasons, and experiences more pain and loss with each season: he still stays true to himself and is extremely loyal to his friends.

4) MALIA HALE: Malia is very underrated in my opinion, and though she may be one of the more flawed characters; given her rudeness, irrationality, bluntness, and hot-headedness. Nobody really talks about how vulnerable she was, and her past really never was acknowledged, how she went from not wanting to live anymore to joining Scott’s pack and forming friendships there. Still don’t think dating Scott is something she would realistically do because of her friendship with Kira but I want her to be happy. She deserved so much more love than the hate and mistreatment she got from other characters and venom that Shelley and Malia received from the fandom. She is also hilarious if you haven’t noticed, and is so much smarter than her math grades (trust me I can relate). Such a forgiving and headstrong woman I am proud to support.

KIRA YUKIMURA: She is special to me as a person of color, being one of the few original Asian characters on tv. She does not deserve any of the hate she gets for dating Scott because of salty Allison and Scallison stand (trust me, if anybody is passionate about Allison’s character it is me). Not only was her character a badass (even though the kitsune ended up being a bit problematic) Kira is a character a lot of us can relate to. She shouldn’t be hated for who she loves!

At the end of the day we have to remember how precious and special all of these characters are. This show is absolutely legendary, and that is an undeniable fact regardless of what your shipping or stanning opinions are. Put aside your petty beliefs and let’s all experience these fantastic teens in their full glory during their final moments at Beacon Hills.

This moment is one that rarely got spoken about. Everyone always says Stiles never worried about protecting Malia but that is far from true. Yes he knew she was capable of protecting herself. She is good at fighting and protecting. But emotionally, even now, she isn’t the best at protecting herself or others. She is blunt and straightforward. Stiles knew that and he understood because he is the same in some ways. Back to the photo though. Stiles tried going after Malia because he was worried about her. Lydia made him stay to fix the jeep. She didn’t care about if Malia and Kira would get hurt. She was scared for herself. You could see how much Stiles wanted to go after Malia with how his body language and the frustrated glance he gave toward the way Malia ran off. Even after the jeep was fixed and they were driving, Lydia still didn’t care that Malia got hurt which was a given by her tone of voice when she pointed out that Malia was still cut and bleeding. Malia still gets a ton of hate for how she was at the beginning of season 4 but because Lydia is “queen” and a series regular who gets shipped with Stiles you all brush off the rude and hateful things she does. I love Malia as a character and I completely admit she has her flaws and she has made mistakes, all the characters have. No character in Teen Wolf or any fandom ever is completely innocent. Stiles cared and loved Malia by his own choice. His actions speak to that. It wasn’t the Nogitsune that made their relationship happen. He didn’t have to be with her when she found Scott. It was his decision to be with her. Stiles is a stubborn, smart guy and no one could force him to be with someone he didn’t like.

So It’s a lil bit too early to write smth bout this, but I’ve just seen a gif with Scott (Posey) eating chicken and realized that I’ve underappreciated him all over the show. I thought that he is not very interesting, not special and absolutely flat. Now I know he is the most important person in a whole tw -universe. He is the kindest, the bravest cutie-patootie ever. sorry, True Alpha, I was so wrong.
