Shit is bad, but today, I learned that California's kelp forests have made a major comeback with the help of scientists, fishermen, and hammer wielding volunteers.

I feel like I’m seeing the trans community turn back towards transmedicalism and against “weird” or “cringe” trans identities and I can’t help but feel like it’s a nasty version of proactive self preservation, thinking if they can just push out the freaks then the “good” ones can be accepted.

JasperDasper started out just curious why everything had suddenly become about trans people and questioning some of the sources used in a book. He came out of it, 4 years later, with a 5 hour long video that connects all transphobia to less than 60 people. (I'm not joking. literally every single transphobic rhetoric and bill passed is because of these 50 or so people.)

For the sake of this question, assume that money has the same spending power regardless of option. The same burger costs 5 bucks, the same house costs 500,000 bucks.

Also assume everyone can live comfortably on 40k a year, and 50k would allow people to live well and be fulfilled, regardless of their respective circumstances.

Also also assume we all have a universal currency. Taxes and inflation don’t matter in this also.

Would you rather:

Be paid 200k a year, but everyone on earth makes 400k a year

Be paid 100k a year, but everyone on earth makes 50k

Option 1, because I can make/steal more money off other people

Option 2, even if the cosmos forced you to donate 50k a year
