Protect Jim Kirk
Tired of people mischaracterizing TOS James Kirk? Tired of them projecting their hyper-masculine wishes on him, calling him a womanizer, saying heâs an incompetent moron who doesnât care about his crew? Tired of FIGHTING over it and looking for evidence to back up what you know is true?
Let me help you out with that with the protect jim kirk tag.
The tag is split into these different categories:
not a womanizer
not incompetent
not an idiot
not uncaring
all of the above
The tags include a collection of posts that disprove these common misconceptions about this wonderful character. Theyâll be continually updated.
my super villain origin story is people calling Jim Kirk a âWomaniserâ Â
if u ever feel sad just look at this picture of tom hanks and jake gyllenhaal
PERHAPS one of the greatest spirk fanvids ever made!!! EEEK SO MANY SEDUCTIVE LOOKS!! :D <33
- Itâs Spirk day and I have nothing to give to the fandom!.. Never mind, I made them a video 4 years ago and they still seem rather happy about it! Well, I guess, my job here is done... *walks away whistling*Â
Nyota Uhura (Nichelle Nicholes) Appreciation Post

Favourites of 2014: Films - Pride [3/6]
When youâre in a battle with an enemy thatâs so much bigger, so much stronger than you, to find out you had a friend you never knew existed.. well thatâs the best feeling in the world
Iâve seen this movie today. In a theater in the center of Saint-Petersburg. I think, only about three theaters have it and it wasnât dubbed, only has subtitles (but for me the last thing was a plus). And I loved it.
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Star Trek guest star Yvonne Craig. Her memorable performance as Marta helped make âWhom Gods Destroyâ a highlight of Trekâs third season.
Aside from Star Trek, the dancer and actress is best known for the way in which she inspired a generation of young women with her portrayal of a fiercely independent and intelligent Batgirl in Batman â66, a version of the character that resonates even today.
She died at home, surrounded by her family. Ms. Craig was 78 years old.
This one looks terrible but so is the idea so I donât want to spend more time doing it XD
XD I, on the other hand, always thought that the most popular depictions of Strasheela and Iron Lumberjack (Soviet versions of Scarecrow and Tin Man) look like some sort of a caricature of older Shatner and Nimoy.
Something about their personalities and the fact that they spent a lot of time remembering good old days added to that impression. *but, than again, in lots of little details the Soviet version make it is a horse of a completely different color⊠as well as a movie adaptation is different from the book⊠so I donât think that anyone would understand this X)*Â
Just couldnât walk by without rebloging this, because only today Iâve been looking through some new awesome illustrations of Urfin - where he finally has a look he deserves - Â and comparing them to the ones from the soviet book youâve mentioned. And I came across this picture of Strasheela. Is it just me, or he looks SO INCREDIBLY GAY XDDD
And now I just have to mention my favorite difference between Strasheela and Scarecrow. Strasheelaâs first complaint wasnât about him not having a brain or being stuck in that field, oh no! His first complaint was basically âlook how they dressed me!â XD OK, it was actually the second favorite. The first one has to be how he remembered bits of magic spells and used them the same way people use swearwords X)

My constant struggle at conventions: seeing cool cosplayers, losing them in the crowd and spending the whole day trying to find them. And this time I had to spend most of the time glued to one spot, guarding Groot (but thatâs another story) and it made the search even more difficult. As a result, my companions were tired of my constant âI saw Ahkmenrah! I need a picture with Ahkmenrah! Whereâs a pharaoh? Have you seen a pharaoh?â. Also, running through the hall screaming âAhkmenrah!!! Where have you been?!â definitely wasnât the best idea, but we were about to go home and I already thought that I would spend the next day searching for Ahkmenrah as well X)
The âBitch Whatâ Scene
