my gen x mom has referred to several Olympic athletes as “big boned and heavy set” so I’ll never shun body positivity. that lady broke her hip earlier this year and in her recovery is happy to have lost 100 pounds.

I just saw a video of that Paris girl from TikTok saying that black women “have more leeway” when it comes to body and shape acceptance. this feels so far removed from our reality but particularly in America, where instead of the human zoos we were subjected to they just use instagram and pop the balloon.
