5. Three things you love about the couple.
Trubbish: Whoop! Something I haven’t given much thought of, let’s get ready to address the question!
1) No matter what anyone else says about their history, it’s what makes them a super compatible couple (AGAIN.) Blah blah, England and America are brothers, blah blah. Because they know each other so well, they work well together. Sure, one could argue that a) After the Revolution, they drifted apart and therefore forgot all these memories, wow, did America really know his big brother England? What of America, after he finally cut England off, what’s he been doing, wow, Iggy knows nothing about him…? And you could also argue that the fact that they have history puts a strain onto their relationship with the memories and the fights and the conflict…
I, however, rather adore their bond. It’s that bond that makes them USUK, a couple who through one way or another found a way to love each other despite all the good and bad. And I love it.
2) Just like I do with Pallet, I love England and America’s rivalry. Their bantering every now and then is even more of a bonus. America already knows England’s bad sides and crappy moods and feelings, but he sticks around for the precious smiles and the times where he does feel like he’s on top of the world. England also rather dislikes the stupid speccy overly confident git but can’t help but feel butterflies when the guy grins at him or when he eats his terrible food or is scared of horror movies. The kawaii babes…
3) The fact that they’re country representations is interesting! Okay, so that’s probably why I love Hetalia and not really on why I love USUK, but dude. Nation AU is the best. America and England having to deal with their bosses and trying to take day off just to see one another… and when something bad happens to their country, they get sick, and whenever July 4 rolls around, Iggy gets sick… MUHAHAHAHA! It’s absolutely the best. There’s this rivalry between the two (actual present world) countries where the British keep mocking America’s freedom and their shite English and America pulling a stunt during the Boston Tea Party and me, helpless Hetalian, see country-related news and antics and I just… HAH.
Best thing and worst thing about being a Hetalian. You can’t see countries seriously anymore. But at least you’re not bored when you read news!
