We have been plural for nearly a decade, and we are very strongly pro-endo. We are admins of a large inclusionist plural server, and we have been participants in several research projects aiming to study non-traumagenic plurality. Our goal has always been a united, peaceful, inclusive plural community where systems of all origins can feel safe and comfortable.

if you’re a white and/or goyish LGBT person who still stands by the harry potter books by citing death of the author, then i want you to really think about why a book series widely disliked by marginalised people for its discriminatory content regardless of its author still appeals to you

with respect, i’m making this post as a trans person myself. what i mean is that long before rowling was publicly a transphobe, as distressing as that is, she wrote a book series with some horrific shit including many justifications for slavery.

people pointed this out en masse for literal years and were ignored. it’s a good thing that people are horrified by her transphobia, because it’s extreme and influential and causes a great deal of tangible harm, but your comment is an exact example of what i mean, with discussions of rowling’s racism and antisemitism being derailed and undervalued

there are plenty of white and goyish lgbt people who are happy enjoying harry potter because they view themselves as the main person targeted by the discrimination in the books and make the decision as that target to be okay with it and continue enjoying it, and what i was trying to say in my original post is that i want those people to consider why they view their feelings as more important than those of other marginalised groups affected by rowling’s work
