Harsh, but I accept it I suppose.
[Transcription: Speaker is a blue-eyed older man with dark blond hair that falls down his back, a round face, and a moustache and beard combo with some gray hairs amongst the blond. His voice is deep, and a bit choked up at points.]
“These are my red flags for women:
If she stabs me more than twice.
If she has a concerning amount of ex-husbands who died on their honeymoon, like... [a brief pause for thought] Like four or more.
If Gozer the Gozerian asks me to choose the form of the destructor and then one of my childhood crushes walks through New York City at 300 feet tall, uh, and steps on a church... [takes a breath and pauses for a second] I mean, it’s not the height! It’s not the height. I like a climb. But, like. [another breath] She stepped on a church. Or any building, really, ‘cause. [deep breath followed by a brief pause] Legally they’re not supposed to be able to ask you about that on like your homeowner’s association application, but- but they’ll ask. They’ll look it up.
If she doesn’t exist in the same physical timeline as I am... [several seconds long pause before continuing, sounding distraught] I’m not doing that again.”

insane that the only good colorists in the entire world are making gifsets for free on tumblr dot com instead of being heads of cinematography/color grading for tv shows and movie studios
What is Tumblr?
Tumblr is the opiate of the very, very few.
When youre a kid youre like wtf adults are making themselves sick with poisons and when youre an adult youre like i need more poisons ASAP
Of all the tags on this post this is the one that worries me most
How does this eve-- whatever
I keep seeing this post about how Knives Out went to these insane lengths to allow Benoit Blanc to wear glasses and it drives me nuts. Because it is honestly not that hard to account for lens glare on glasses while filming a movie. What Knives Out did is markedly more batshit.
They built special rigging to make the glare on the lense accurate to the space in which he's supposed to be. Mindblowingly unhinged. Special lighting rigs to add the most minute sense of realism to the film. I can not emphasize enough how ungodly insane that is as a lighting choice. It is a fucking chef's kiss of filmmaking. It is fucking showing off. It is iconic and is honest to got something lighting teachers are gonna be teaching film students for decades.
the other day a friend of a friend referred to "busting out of your abdomen like the alien from the Predator films" and I was completely caught off guard. like I guess that's - that's not wrong. the alien was. okay she was in the Predator films. well some of them. but like. she had her own. she's the alien from the Alien films. like. they have her name on them. he's not "King Kong from the Godzilla films"
there's also a reason it's not called an "abdomenburster" but one issue at a time
it's like when headlines refer to a famous woman via her husband. that's not "Predator's wife" she's got her own franchise!!

For my appearance at the Met Gala, I wanted to create something deeply personal- a reflection of Mumbai, the city that has shaped my journey, my cinema, and my sense of design, along with the atelier that brings my vision to life every day- my work family. There is nothing like a classic Indian bandhgala- here layered with an architectural cape, brought to life over 960 hours by more than 50 artisans across Mumbai and Delhi. For me, this is more than a garment- it is a story of craft, memory, and collaboration. Dori, zardozi, chikankari, and kasab embroidery come together as a narrative. Woven into the piece are the names and signatures of the artisans themselves- a tribute to every hand and every moment that shaped it. Intricate hand-embroidery serves as references to Mumbai’s cinematic landmarks, while three-dimensional sculptural elements celebrate the artisans of his atelier who crafted the piece. This look is both a celebration and a reminder - of where we come from, and how Indian craftsmanship continues to find its place on a global stage.
The names of the artisans were also embroidered inside the cape
