Extroverted Intuition (Ne): Linus has some good ideas to offer to the heist plans, and different ways of looking at the heists than Rusty or Danny. While he is either daunted into submission by everyone around him underestimating him and calling him a newcomer or a kid, or just a little shy on taking control, when he does, he is completely open to all possibilities. The insane attempt to get the egg after everyone but him, Basher and Turk got caught is a primary example, he is also creative about where to get the funds to finance the second drill they have to buy in Thirteen (out of all people, Terry Benedict!) Linus is also eager to rise up to the opportunity to try and seduce Abigail Sponder for the play on the Bank diamonds—even throwing in a personal side touch: the “Brody”, as he calls his fake nose.

Introverted Thinking (Ti): Linus is an intelligent kid. He’s not into conning just because he feels like it. He knows the risks about his plan and is careful to cover all his bases before executing his plans. He knows not to spend all the money he earns in the Benedict job, and he’s good at analyzing people (when he’s given the task to “learn to love [Benedict’s] shadow”). He’s more comfortable doing this, analyzing and putting apart and considering, than planning, unlike Danny. He also learns to adapt to Abigail’s shadow when required to…to the point he actually kind of falls for her, but we’re never told for sure.

Extroverted Feeling (Fe): He’s starving for love. He wants to be accepted into the group as a force to be reckoned with, which is why the trick Matsui played on him hit him so low. He’s also charming, likeable and kind. He doesn’t like “labeling” people because he knows that’s inconsiderate (he refuses to call Van der Woude a freak, and he’s immediately shut down by the rest as too politically correct, and he’s also shy on calling Abigail Sponder a “cougar”). He’s desperate for recognition for his work, and doesn’t like being recognized just as Bobby Caldwell’s kid.

Introverted Sensing (Si): While he’s not very close to sticking to others’ experience, especially when it ties him down, he does know when to listen to the facts when they’re screaming at him in the face—he becomes a lot shyer to pull the Benedict job once he finds out Benedict basically tears apart the lives of the people who try to cheat him. He also holds on to everything Danny and Rusty tell him like it’s his lifeline before the meeting with Matsui, or when he’s nervous, because that’s his backup for his Ne.
