As if he could say no to her, she was so damn cute and needed a home, so Jean provided one for her - and some. Spoiled little princess really, but she was decently behaved most of the time. So Jean couldn't complain.
[Jeanbo:] Of course! Look at that sweet face of hers. :P
Eren seemed like a really good person too, at least from what Jean could tell. They already had a couple things in common. Age, university, animals, gaming; so maybe something could come out from meeting the other. Of course he wasn’t about to push anything like getting closer, their friendship could remain here on Attack on Titan forever. Though Jean hoped not.
[Jeanbo:] Ah man that sucks. I can have pets, just gotta pay extra and I'm responsible for any damage. Luckily Mia is good about that. Only thing she tore up was a pair of shoes of mine. She's three! I've had her since she was one.
Which he was a little bitter about still, those were his favorites! And he paid for decently good money for them. She got a scolding but that was as far as it got, he felt bad looking at her squishy little face all scared.
[Jeanbo:] You know…you seem like a really decent guy, and that's kinda hard for me to say because I don't tend to like anyone. Kinda nice being able to talk about normal shit sometimes.
Instead of everyone comparing stats on the game or everyone talking about stress and work at home. Something that made Jean smile, it was nice. Still, it only made him more curious about the other and…well…Eren being of internet and gaming fame, made it impossible for Jean to ask without being seen as a total creeper. Lovely.
Every once in a while, Eren had time to talk more closely with people online. Whether it was answering mails or replying to comments on his channel or even those rare times he'd done a Q&A livestream, but more often than not he tried to keep his responses as vague as possible. A little chit chat, general answers to what he did besides playing games. Questions about his personal life weren't uncommon and those about his love life made him uncomfortable, but so far he had yet to mess up.
Still, genuine and enjoyable talks like this one were most welcomed. It reminded Eren that there were actual people with actual lives behind those written words. Some who were not trying to ride on the back of Eren's “internet fame” by promoting their own channels or suggesting co-ops without even properly introducing themselves first.
[Jaegermeister:] Yeah well, what can I say. I'm awesome.
Eren snorted at himself, then squinted, wondering if Jean was familiar with his kind of humour that often featured dripping sarcasm.
[Jaegermeister:] Though I do swear I've got some flaws. I'm a catastrophe in the kitchen.
He was exaggerating, of course. There were a few things he'd taught himself, including the best kind of pancakes courtesy to his mother, but mostly he lived on quick meals or delivery services.
[Jaegermeister:] I gotta admit you're fun to talk to, too.
And very attractive, but that was besides the point. This wasn't some kind of dating website, after all. Besides, Eren didn't know shit about flirting and usually ended up embarrassing himself in an attempt at figuring out if someone he found attractive was into guys as well.
