neither “that’s not canon” nor “fuck canon we made this all up” but a secret third thing (canon shouldn’t be taken as gospel but is useful as a reference point for building upon and recontextualizing characters and details. if you worship the source material as unchangeable then fandom in general probably isn’t for you. if you have complete disdain for the source material you would probably enjoy yourself more in a different fandom)

We never get to see Serana’s vampire lord form and I think that’s very sad for us, so for Halloween, I amended that

A few days ago someone said modern AU Lae’zel would have a bearded dragon. Which I 100% agree with! But I also think that she would have a betta fish that she’s obsessed with and would live feed it brine shrimp. Lae’zel would send Shadowheart videos of the fish hunting it’s food every day at the exact same time. These videos have commentary such as “isn’t his undying will to fight endearing?” and “His hunting prowess grows greater each day.”
