I just saw this fanart by @alessiajontrunfio on Pinterest but I sadly couldn't find it on her Tumblr.
If you're still here I want you to know that this is gorgeous!!!
"Nippon Sangoku" TV Anime special illustration by original manga author Matsuki Ikka for final episode 12 release
In the near future, after the collapse of civilization, a young man stands up to reunite Japan, which has once again entered a Warring States Era. His name is Misumi Aoteru. Later described as a military genius, his legend begins now!!
I hated that they killed off his wife in the first episode though 🫣 like I get it he needed a "why" - still cried though. If they got into politics back then they would have made such a power couple!!
Tsune: I am going to change the world! Aoteru: I am going to change the world! Tsune: You are so cringe.
I love their bromance so freaking much! 💗
If you dislike Denji, you probably misunderstood him
He's my absolute favourite male character and I say this after I dropped it at first because I thought he was to freaky for a MC for me before
Now I rewatched chainsaw man and I cried, literally, because my pookie here is one of the most misunderstood characters in all anime.
Denji genuinely wants love, remember what he was talking about on the matress in chapter 1? Making out with a girl, playing games together in their room and falling asleep in her arms - and I don't know what you guys think, but from my perspective (and I am a woman) what he wants to dream about is beautiful. He also clearly stated that he wanted to be with a girl before he dies - but I think it's a watered down version of what he truly wants - love, affection, care and a sense of belonging. Denji is a 16 year old boy and let's be honest - which teenage boy does not go through the hyper-sexual phase? Plus all he knows about love comes from the media which sexualizes and objectifies instead of teaching healthy affection.
If only I could comfort this poor guy by somehow isekaing into chainsaw man...
The cutest💙🦋🐺
i don't understand how so many people seen Kaufman pouring his heart out to Navier, ready to risk it all to whisk her away and save her from Sovieshu's BS and went "BuT hEiNrEy Is ThE mL". i literally could not give two fucks, where is Grand Duke Kaufman's side story, bc you know he'd treat a girl right
HE IS THE ML TO ME
has anyone done this yet. does anyone see my vision. is there anybody out there. LMAO
i havent seen mlb in a really long time dont fault me for that mwah

IT'S SO LIKE THEM YOU GUYS
The struggle of being a budding author is that I lately got so invested in my own book I can't wait for the next chapter and at the same time I can't make a decision on what to do next so I'm stuck in this cycle of "when's the author gonna update????" And "oh I AM the author".
A gift from my friend
Ahhh I love them so much!!
You can love a character and still admit when they're wrong. I love Zenitsu Agatsuma but can acknowledge his flaws (he has none) & can hold him accountable for his wrongdoings (he's never done anything wrong in his life) & call him out for his actions (which are always correct).
In my opinion Zenitsu had the same interests as most of the teenage boys nowadays, so I don't really get the hate. It's just the fact that Tanjiro is such a green flag and Inosuke couldn't care less about women that makes him seem like a pervert. I'm not saying that he has never done anything wrong, nor justifying him harrasing women, but rather his small weird actions (which by the end of the series seem to change) make him a realistic character.
When we look at Denji from Chainsaw Man, his actions and motivations are even more perverted, yet he gets little to no hate for it. It seems to me as if the whole hating Zenitsu thing is a bit unfair.
If we hate Zenitsu we should also hate Uzui and yet no one sees a problem in him slapping Aoi's buttocks (which counts as sexual harassment).
I once even argued with people online who told me that Tengen was disciplining Aoi and that was nothing sexual.
"Disciplining" a woman who is about 17 years old by slapping her buttocks.
Do you see the irony?
This post is a copypasta so it shouldn't be taken TOO seriously, but yeah. Zenitsu is a hormonal teenager who's clingy and desperate. He's not an actual pervert.
Zenitsu's initial behavior around women was very much a result of him being groomed 7 times by predatory women. It's a realistic trauma response. I'm not saying this EXCUSES him, but it makes it more understandable since he has no idea how relationships are supposed to work. He also canonically has shit social skills and has issues with social cues, which doesn't really help (again, not an EXCUSE but makes it more understandable--and makes it important that he's apologetic when he realizes he's made someone uncomfortable and that he learns better).
He also learns better very quickly. He stops chasing after random girls in season 1/early on. After Tanjiro pulled him away from that one girl, he did not repeat that behavior. (He also hasn't harassed Nezuko at all--the chasing scene was invented by Ufotable and is non-canon because it directly contradicts the manga).
Zenitsu is indeed a realistic character--and a realistic trauma victim with realistic trauma responses rather than a Perfect Victim.
And YEAH when people rake Zenitsu over the coals but let other characters from other media who are WORSE then him off the hook it makes me want to rip my hair out. Talk about hypocritical.
Not to mention comparing Zenitsu to anime perverts doesn't make sense anyway, because Zenitsu isn't actually a pervert. He craves love, not sex.
Tbh, Zenitsu is MOST similar to Brock from the Pokémon anime, but even then Brock's behavior is still worse.
And the way people will let Tengen off the hook but will lambaste Zenitsu is BIZARRE.
Zenitsu has never done anything REMOTELY as bad as what Tengen did. The closest he's come is grabbing Aoi around the middle during rehabilitation training.
Also: while that scene (Tengen smacking Aoi) wasn't played as discipline, it's also the only time we see a Corps member do this. There are not any scenes of the Corps using spanking as discipline. Also, when the boys disobeyed Tengen during the EDA, he did not do this to them. Which makes it stand out even more.
(And yeah, Aoi's...a bit old for disciplinary spanking).
I don't hate Tengen or anything, but that whole scene annoys me so much and is wholly unnecessary.
And yeah, the cherry picking and blatant hypocrisy from the KNY fandom is ASTOUNDING.
Finally someone agrees with me on that 😭 as I totally love Aoi and couldn't stand her being so humiliated for doing nothing wrong.
The thing is what Zenitsu wanted to do was hug Aoi during the training and not do other gross things from what I can remember.
Actually people seem not to notice that Zenitsu wants to be with women and is not solely interested in their bodies (for example if Zenitsu was a perv his dream of going out with Nezuko would look totally different)
It's not like I totally hate Tengen, there are characters I dislike more but I can't seem to notice what's so great about him that can justify his behaviour
Yeah, when people bend over backwards to justify it or excuse it I think it's kinda weird. Especially when they excuse Tengen because "the time period means it was discipliinary spanking!" (even though Aoi's a bit...too old...for that, and it wasn't really played that way...), but get mad at Zenitsu for asking for a lock of Nezuko's hair that one time. The latter is an anime-only scene iirc, but it's also MORE explainable by the time period than the former is. Keeping a lock of a loved one's hair as a keepsake was NOT unheard of in the Taisho era and would not have been seen as creepy at the time. And Zenitsu ASKING is ultimately harmless. It's not like he took it from her without consent. (And he wanted it to help motivate himself--he didn't want it for any untoward reasons.)
And yeah, he was more trying to hug Aoi then. He was absolutely not trying to do anything weird or gross with her.
Though people still argue he "tried to grope her", which no he didn't. Words have meaning. And if we're gonna call that harassment (and he should apologize to her) than Inosuke holding Aoi by the ankles is ALSO harassment. (#FreeAoi)
AND OH MY GOD YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I BRING UP ZENITSU'S DREAM WHEN ARGUING WITH PEOPLE WHO UNIRONICALLY THINK ZENITSU'S A PERV. Like his dream during Mugen Train--which was showing their deepest desires--was him and Nezuko holding hands and going on a date. It's very wholesome. His deepest desire is to be loved. There was nothing sexual about it.
Of course, people ignore this when I bring it up.
I don't hate Tengen either, though I'm not blind to his fault (and I think the series went overboard in trying to establish his negative traits).
#FreeAoi 😭💗
