                                          { THIS MEANS WAR }
Worlds are about to collide as war is declared against the l'Cies of Pulse. Joining forces, Cocoon's PSICOM and Gaia's SOLDIER are about to rid the lands of Gran Pulse from the l'Cie roaming it; the only hope of the l'Cies' salvation being Academy's intervention.
However, unbeknownst to PSICOM, it isn't just the Pulse l'Cie who are in danger of complete annihilation -- it's also the l'Cie of Cocoon which have fallen under the aim of SOLDIER. With alliances in question and innocent lives at stake, there's no telling what state either of these worlds will be left in once war dissipates -- if such a possibility even exists.
FFD Event #01:
Welcome to Final Fantasy Directory's first ever event! This event is centered around Cocoon and Gran Pulse, along with Gaia's SOLDIER being involved. Don't worry about not being able to take part in this event; we are planning two more events for Spira and Gaia to follow!
Main notes:
The PSICOM and SOLDIER divisions are teaming up against Pulse lâCies.
Cocoon l'Cies aren't being targeted since their focuses can be used to PSICOM's advantage.
Unknown to PSICOM, SOLDIER also intends to exterminate the Cocoon lâCies.
Cocoon lâCies are aware of the war; Pulse lâCies are not
Academy is helping the Pulse lâCies.
Track the tag '#tmwevent' and tag all posts that are created in consideration of the event with this tag. This includes whether you are directly involved in the war or you are a citizen or l'Cie attempting to stay out of danger.

PERSONALITY && BACKGROUND
Kikera is a woman with an energetic personality, always looking for fun in any form, whether itâs playing around with her shipmates, getting drunk at any bar, or looking for a way to relieve some stress. She loves to make new allies and is never seen alone (unless sheâs at a bar). With her shipmates, Kikera can easily brighten up any mood, helping her friends see the bright side of anything. She makes it her job to try and find as many people who can help them out with clues, rumors, or anything involving spears and how to get to certain restricted areas.
Sheâs known to be one of the Besaid Aurochs best players, but the reason for her retirement, no one knows for sure. Despite being the talkative woman she is, her shipmates donât know much about her past before the Besaid Aurochs, and she never tries to make an effort to visit her home village. Kikera keeps her life a secret, but always has a listening ear and rather have people open up to her than her opening up to others.
At the age of fourteen, the day she was going to make tryouts for the Besaid Aurochs is the same day her father had set out to Luca. She wasnât able to tell him farewell due to tryouts and ends up missing his departure. The next few days, after her father leaves, her family receives news of her fatherâs disappearance. Ever since then, she closed up on her family, refusing to try and comfort in anyone, keeping herself focused on becoming the best player on her Islandâs Blitzball team.
After three years playing Blitzball, she quickly retires from her position on the Besaid Aurochs and disappears from the island life. Itâs then she joins her Sphere Hunter team, searching for a particular sphere, though she will never say what.

PERSONALITY && BACKGROUND
Having to list 'orphaned' as your family background was hardly a pleasant task but for Max, it was statement that described his reality.
He was born Shim Changmin, son of parents he never knew and citizen of a world he never quite understood; and although he had his sister by his side during the early stages of his life, it wasn't long before she too, was taken away from him. The rest of his childhood was characterised by a confusion and a loneliness which, as he transitioned into adolescence, slowly developed into taciturnity and antisociality. Mundane at best was his early life, repelling any potential friends or even acquaintances with a sharp tongue, an arrogant glare, or the not-so-subtle cold shoulder display, Changmin developed a reputation as the typical moody, cold and mean-spirited black sheep of the orphanage; and as the years passed and  he learned to channel his anger through his fists, he grew even more isolated from the rest of the orphanage's children, and sour towards the entire village for the fate of his which they held no actual responsibility for.
Finding purpose for his life beyond seclusion or aggressively alienating others only came once he joined Balamb Garden military academy, a training base for future mercenaries. Enrolling was hardly the difficult part of the transition; it was getting to the city in which it existed that posed obstacle. Desperate to escape Gran Pulse and find a new place to start anew but lacking the funds to travel through the portals, Changmin sought help which came in the form of an old summoner in the village who, whether in pity for the young teenager or some other unspoken reason, taught him the ways of summoning an aeon. Quezacotl was the name of the beast; a mighty, bird-like creature, and for Changmin's purposes, it only took five days of training before he could unleash the enormous being, letting it tear open a portal in the sky with a violent, blinding lightning strike. The following storm lasted a few minutes, and when it abruptly stopped moments later, the orphan and the aeon were nowhere to be found.
Finding himself thrown into the blistering winds of a wintery snowstorm in Modeoheim all alone with Quezacotl having retreated, Changmin stumbled through the village in desperate search of answers -- but primarily, for warmth or at least shelter. Taken in by a kind old lady taking mercy on the fourteen-year-old misfit, she listened to his story, albeit only half believing it, and explained to him exactly where he was and where he needed to go to build a 'proper future', as she called it, for himself. It was in this way that Changmin discovered Midgar, a city completely different from his own yet he felt more at home here than he ever had in the hometown of his vanished parents. With his distrustful mindset and unfriendly, harsh attitude, it didn't take long for Changmin to become streetsmart and transition into a fifteen-year-old thief opportunist, making a living off whatever he could manage to snatch or con out of people in the city.
This, in turn, finally got him discovered by a man -- rather, got him caught by a mercenary -- who claimed to see potential. Despite Changmin's rudeness and reluctance to comply with his advice to join a 'school' he had once attended, the teenager still found himself on the small island of Balamb just off the coast of Midgar, and within the academy building, awaiting examination to determine whether he was fit for enrollment or not. Perhaps it was the hope that he'd find the future the Modeoheim lady had told him to find, perhaps it was mere curiosity if he could get in, but Changmin eventually quelled his urge to escape and complied with the process. Of course, with the 'graduate' beside him answering the questions in his place, Changmin was accepted on probation to ensure he would settle in and avoid causing problems for the academy. When asked for his name, Changmin responded with the alias which the man had given to him -- Maximus Leonhart.
Max is now a nineteen-year-old student at Balamb Garden military academy, honing his skills with a blade as well as those which pertained to etiquette, regular classes, and training his aeon into synchronised battle in hopes of soon graduating into SeeD. His hot-tempered nature has somewhat faded since taking his first steps into the academy, leaving behind only the cold, indifferent attitude to ward off curious folk, but it's advisable for one to be mindful of the young man; after all, it is said that it's the quiet ones who hide the darkest secrets.
Guys, it's all very lovely that you're applying, and we're all extremely happy. However, I must say, it's getting harder and harder for an admin to decide what to key in for the 'character name' section--this shouldn't be happening. We love what you're doing with your bases and how original your characters are, but just because you've based your character on someone in Final Fantasy, doesn't necessarily mean you need to use both your faceclaim's and your base's full names. I encourage you to decide on either your base's name or your faceclaim's name, or create an entirely different name altogether. Either that, or you could pick your base's full name and use your faceclaim's first name as an alias, or vice versa. Just please, pick one alias and/or one full name. I frankly have never met anyone with two aliases and three full names. It's just not realistic. Using your base's or faceclaim's name is not mandatory.
Just to make it clear, this has been happening for a while now, and to the majority of the applicants--and yes, I hate to say it, even some of the admins do it too. I've decided to address it only now because I'm the only graphics admin, and that makes me the default admin to post the applications. Henceforth, I bear this burden alone, and this burden is making me very, very lethargic and irritable. I love you all in equal measure, so please don't get bitter or think I'm bashing you. I'm just trying to save my own skin.

PERSONALITY && BACKGROUND
Park Sunyoung was born on May 3rd in Nibelheim. By the age fifteen, Sunyoung was a tour guide in the Nibelheim Mountains. The nickname âHyominâ was given to her when she began her job as a tour guide. However, after a tragic incident at the reactor, Sunyoung abandoned her nickname and job.  After recovering from her injuries from the tragic incident at the reactor, Sunyoung moved onto join AVALANCHE, an anti-Shinra resistance group, and also became a bar hostess of a bar and restaurant named 7th Heaven. The nickname âTifa Lockhartâ was given to her when she first joined AVALANCHE and started working at 7th Heaven.
Sunyoung prefers to be called Tifa but doesnât mind being called Sunyoung or Hyomin (although the nickname âHyominâ brings back some harsh memories). Sunyoung is easily described as being bright, optimistic, and outgoing. She is extremely affable and caring. Sunyoung has a maternal streak. Sunyoung is a woman who always prioritizes herself as last â placing everyone before her. While Sunyoung may come off as being an extremely strong woman, she does not express her feelings often and struggles when she does try. Sunyoung has an issue with being honest with her emotions.
Blitzball players are counted as citizens of Spira, yes. Unless you plan on making your character a travelling Blitzball player, then thatâs another case.
