if who ever “revived” warrior nun wants art for this trilogy (that’s looking more and more like a different idea all together btw) they can fucking pay for it.

Its a cool idea to let fans make art for something but to put in there that

1. the artist isnt getting paid and has no right for said art afterwards

2. It can’t be like the shows because this is an independent thing. like just say it has nothing to do with the show so we can leave it alone already.

and 3. how are you only going to do america and canada? there is a lot of fans in europe and all over there (not an expert on geographical stuff)

Warrior Nun coming back in form of 3 movies is good news actually and there's no need to already talk that down.

It's also a format that makes sense for the show. Season 2 already was not a tv show. No matter what streaming services let us believe, 8 episodes are not a whole season. Also, the 8 episodes had one big plot, no real side plots, no scenes that weren't crucial to said plot, no fillers. That's maybe a mini-series but not a tv show in the classical sense. Season 2 was more like a long movie imo, and could have easily been divided into 3 movies as well.

As for those who doubt a low budget production can keep up, let alone do 3 movies with high quality... they were on a tight budget in seasons 1 and 2 as well, but they made the absolute most of it. And the production quality of the show, especially the stunt/fight scenes hold up to even the biggest blockbusters. Like, I'd take Lilith's fight scene in the dungeon over any marvel cgi fight any day.

They committed to making an announcement on August 15th before the SAG-Aftra strike started/ not even knowing there'll be a strike. And they kept their word, despite having to adjust the information due to the strike.

There's nothing in this announcement that implies the movies won't be a continuation of the show or won't evolve around Ava and Beatrice as main characters.

Sure, we don't know any details yet, and we'll have to wait for further information, but for now, there's no reason to be cynical and/or pessimistic about this news.
