I recently watched the anime adaptation of "Land of the Lustrous." I had heard good things about it back when it was airing in 2017, but only got around to seeing it this year (<-very common theme with me). And since it ends in a cliffhanger, you KNOW I had to read the manga to get the rest of the story. I even held off on looking up fanart for it, since I had a feeling doing so would lead to story spoilers, and boy was I right. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APPROACH IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS SERIES. I won't say any spoilers here, but thinking back on the whole journey and what these characters went through has me feeling like:

Damn, what a ride. This fanart I made is inspired by something a character says towards the end of the story, if you know you know. Might make a few more pieces, those will have spoiler warnings at the beginning since they are more specific things. Although I have a few qualms with some of the story plotpoints, I'd recommend it if it looks interesting to you!

Legato's introductory scene is wild. Nightow really created this guy whose entire characterization centers on his utter devotion and infatuation for another man and then in the scene where we, the audience meet him for the first time he is literally. Eating hotdogs. I mean he is just going to TOWN on those wieners. we get it man
