“Dear March— Come In—“ by Emily Dickinson
I love that he sees him as a friend now
Watching Demon Slayer episodes 13 and 14:
Inosuke to Tanjiro, shaking him profusely: “I AM TRYING TO BE AN ASSHOLE RIGHT NOW AND YOU ARE MAKING IT SO.GODDAMN.HARD!!!!!”
Tanjiro, a confused adorable puppy: “oh! I’m sorry, how can I help you?”
Inosuke: (Wordless scream of rage)

Was the record to take five steps or did he take more than five steps?
Previous record was five steps I believe
Do did he take more?
I feel like we’re ignoring the obvious question of “why the crap did some whacky bastard try carry a 1,430 lbs. log in the first place?”
Also the previous record was three steps (again why?) and our “Mountain that Rides” made it a full five steps
Because he could
So…. in doing some reading, I’m more in awe.
The “world record” actually comes from an Icelandic viking legend in which Orm Storulfsson carried the mast of a ship (with the same specifications as the log that Hafthor lifted) for three steps. According to legend, 50 men lifted the mast onto Orm’s back. He took three steps. After the third step, his back was broken and he was never again the same.
So it isn’t like he broke a world record that was set 50 years ago or something. This was a legend from 1000 years ago.

We are living in times where people overcome actual, literal legends.
That’s….awesome.
A little slightly unrelated Norse knowledge for y’all.

do you think i can cure my depression by making a bunch of these.
okay didn’t realize everyone was also extremely charmed by the yarn fish the pattern is here and it’s free
being gender nonconforming is great bc straight people think i'm edgy and intimidating but lgbt people see me and immediately think i'm friend shaped :)
New gender: comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable
U-1146: NK, Killer T, you should talk about your feelings.
NK cell: I don’t want to.
Killer T cell: Me neither.
Cancer cell: I want to.
U-1146: I know, Cancer.
Cancer cell: I’m sad.
U-1146: I know, Cancer.
Does cells at work mention apoptosis
Apoptosis is programmed cell death that occurs when the cell gets arrested at one of its cell cycle checkpoints (for having faulty DNA or something like that) or just natural cell senescence. I guess the closest representation in Cells at Work would be if cells offed themselves so they don’t cause harm to the body. Kind of like seppuku but on a microscopic scale.
Die with honor you funky little cells.
I resonate a lot w these blood cells
