What “Pilot Personality” do each of the Voltron Characters fall into?
This has been sitting in my docs for exactly a year under the title “stupid freaking meta” cause it was a pain to write. But it’s been on my mind so I thought it was time for another post, based on my experience as a pilot and member of the aviation community.
As I was making this I realized that this might be some good fanfiction material for y’all, so enjoy. (Fyi: every pilot-related example or description I use in this post is a real life true story/situation that I have heard or experienced! Nothing made up.)
I began learning to fly at age 16, before I learned to drive. I got my pilot’s license at age 19 which was almost 6 years ago, and it’s safe to say I’m just a little obsessed. I spent years around pilots from all walks of life, and very quickly caught on to the fact that there are different types of pilots, but still a common thread that goes through everyone.
When I sat down one day in July 2016 and watched Voltron for the first time, I was immediately smitten. It was everything I loved: space, flying, technology, awesome characters, all rolled into one. Interestingly enough, I can pinpoint the EXACT SECOND I first fell in love with this show…

if you like something, reblog it. Help the artist get their work out there in front of more people. Share the joy that it brought you.
if you want more of it, support it. This can be via commissions, reblogs, recommending the artist to other people, shouting in the tags, or sending the artist asks/messages.
if you hate it, keep scrolling. Keep the hate in a message window with a friend, not in the artist’s notes.
if you want to use it, ask permission. Artwork is beautiful and you want to show it off. But please ask the artist before you throw it into your header or your icon.
if you use it, give credit. And not just a post where you say “Do you like my new icon? X made it!”. Put it in your blog description, that way when someone rolls around your blog three months from now, they also know where your icon/header came from.
if you appreciate it, don’t repost it. Reblog the artist’s post instead of making one of your own. Let them see all of the excited tags in the reblogs and replies or commentary that people add on. If you come across something on a google image search, try to trace it back to the owner. If someone tells you who the artist is, credit them - but also try to find and reblog their original post.

if you like something, reblog it. Help the author get their work out there in front of more people. Share the joy that it brought you.
if you want more of it, support it. Kudos are great, but if you want more of the thing you like, you should comment. Subscribe to the story or the author. Send them a message about how much you like what they wrote.
if you read it, kudos it. Or give it a thumbs up. If you want the author to write more things like that, let them know - even if you can’t comment!
don’t demand content. Be patient. Stories take time. You can encourage without being demanding. Show your love for what’s there without telling them to post more often.
be gentle with criticism. Some people want it and some people run away from it. If you don’t know what type of person the author is, it’s best not to go there. “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything.”

ship and let ship. You love your ship and other people love theirs. No one needs to “win” when we’re all going to end up in tears anyway.
if you hate it, stay out of the tag. This has two meanings: 1) don’t deliberately put hateful commentary in a tag and 2) if you hate a tag, don’t go and read through that tag just to make yourself angry
if someone makes you something, appreciate it. Read and comment the fic. Like and reblog the artwork. Pimp it out and tell them how much you loved it. It’s a gift, treat it like one.
if it’s a gift, put some effort into it. You signed up for that exchange three months ago and now it’s a week before you have to send the gift and you don’t have the time or the inclination to do the thing. Well too bad. Someone out there has been working hard in your gift, so you should do the same for them.
none of us are “better” than anyone else. We’re all trash for our particular show/film/book/ship/artist/what-have-you. My fave is no better than yours and yours is no better than mine.
actors are not their characters. They are people. Treat them like people.
Putting this on my main blog because it’s true ;)
Found some hands tutorial by me
Not in English but hope it will help???????
A compilation of stuff I know about drawing Asian faces and Asian culture! I feel like many “How-To-Draw” tutorials often default to European faces and are not really helpful when drawing people of other races. So I thought I’d put this together in case anyone is interested! Feel free to share this guide and shoot me questions if you have any! I’m by no means an expert, I just know a few things from drawing experience and from my own cultural background.

Hi, I have been trying to learn the basics of color theory but one thing really perplexes me. If I use adobes color wheel, the opposite of red is green. If I use clip studio paint, the opposite of red is cyan. It seems this is due to RGB vs CMYK subtraction/addition in terms of colors. So when picking colors that are complimentary i'm having a real hard time figuring out which way is the correct way due to these being different. Do you use the RGB or CMYK color wheel?
hi! great question. you are correct that RGB (red, green, blue) is additive, meaning that when you mix red, green, and blue light together, they create white. this is how every screen shows color. and CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) is subtractive, meaning that when you mix those colors of light together, they create black.
additive color starts with black and adds color to create light, while as subtractive color starts with light and adds color to create black. this is why RGB is used in screens, and CMYK is used in print and ink. and also why something looks different when you paint it in photoshop in RGB, then switch it to CMYK. the luminosity of colors that comes from the light in a monitor is sometimes lost.
so onto your question, it’s a good idea to pick one color space (rgb or cmyk) and stick to it. if you ever intend on printing your work, then working in cmyk is prudent. if you are keeping your work digital, then staying in rgb is fine. i rarely print my work so i stay in rgb.
when it comes to complementary colors, both are correct. in CMY, the complementary of red is green and in RGB, the complementary of red is cyan. this is because RGB and CMY are interdependent of each other, it just depends on whether you’re painting with light or with actual pigment (ink or paint).
check these out if you need a visual aid! i found them here which explains the differences a little more. remember that complementary colors are two colors that complete all primary colors of that color space. so, in RGB, the complementary of red is cyan because red is a primary and cyan is made up of the other two primaries, green and blue in this case. if you ever get your hands on a strong light and a colored gel, you can try this for yourself. if you cast a pure red light onto an object, it will cast a cyan tinted shadow. same with green/magenta and blue/yellow.
if you’re wondering where the traditional RYB (red, yellow, blue) color model comes into play here, it predates CMYK, which is a relatively recent and scientific conclusion of color. it is similar but more rudimentary due to there not really being magenta and cyan pigments available for painters for a long time.
to sum it all up, theyre both correct because one refers to color created with light and one refers to color created with pigment. if you plan on printing your work, then use cmyk. if you are keeping your work digital, then use rgb.
i hope this helps!! i know it’s a lot to process so lmk if you have anymore questions!
