of israeli politicians straight up using propaganda from nazi handbooks to dehumanise palestinians, calling them less than human, less than the rest of us, animals.

and what one palestinian man posted on his social media hit me more than anything: “if we actually were animals, people would care.”

we cry "the innocent women and children" to appeal to the masses, to try and force their sympathy, but the men and boys are innocent too.

I have seen sons crying out for their mothers, their fathers, their siblings. I have seen them break down at the loss of their families. I have seen them cling to their dead and grieve.

I have seen fathers cradle their dead children, seen them kiss their faces and hold their little hands. I have seen them faint with grief when asked to identify the dead. I have seen them carry their sons and daughters. I have seen them fasting to provide what little they can for their families.

I have seen men and boys digging through the rubble with just their bare hands, I have seen them comforting strangers, playing with children, rocking them, hushing them, even if the face of such imminent danger. I have seen them cry, seen them grieve, seen them break down into each other's arms, seen them be selfless, beyond selfless, becoming something I don't have a word for.

I have seen the men who are doctors refuse to leave their patients, even when they have no medicine or supplies to give them, even when they're threatened with bombings. I have seen fathers who have lost all their children pick orphans up into their arms and proclaim them their child so they are not alone. I have seen men and boys digging pets out of the rubble.

the men are innocent too. the men and boys are being hurt and killed too. the men and boys are grieving too. the men and boys are scared too. the men and boys are fighting to save their people too. the men and boys deserve to be fought for too.

Is*ael killed 1,000 people in 24 hours. In the span of 1 day, 1000 people were murdered. 1000 people died. these are not just numbers to add on to a statistic. Every single person who died was a family member, someone who is loved, who will be missed by someone. Someone who has memories, inside jokes, likes and dislikes, favorite foods and hobbies. Favorite places they like to visit and games they would like to play. Every person who was murdered had dreams and a life to live.

ln the span of 1 day, 1000 people’s lives were taken away. Their dreams taken away. They won’t ever get to eat their favorite food, spend time with their best friend, play their favorite game.

why do people have to beg just to live. there is no where to go for the palestinian people, the israeli government has them in a death spiral going north and south cutting out there food and water supplies making it hard to reach out to other countries BEGGING for help. you can’t even wish them safety bc there is nowhere to go not even in america where three palestinian men were shot. please please call your senators and state representative (i have a script on my account if needed), education yourself, and boycott companies published on the bds boycott list. please don’t let this genocide be a trend

I think one element of Israeli propaganda that a lot people are unintentionally aligning themselves with is the idea of Gaza as the main target of Israeli violence. During the "truce" even, so many people talking about how it was a "pause" even though people in the West Bank, Damascus, and Lebanon were still being killed by Israeli forces because the "truce" was only negotiated for Gaza (where it was also not adhered to). But as a Lebanese person with family in Lebanon and Palestinian loved ones, I need people to remember that Gaza is not a state. Gaza isn't a country. Israel won't destroy Gaza and call it a day as if Gaza is their main goal because it's not. It's "from the river to the sea Palestine will be free" because the free Palestine movement is about ending Israeli occupation of all Palestine and surrounding countries. It's not a reform movement about getting Israel to behave. It's an anti-colonial movement that aims to give ALL of Palestine back to Palestinians. Of course, the extreme violence Israel is enacting on Palestinians in Gaza is horrific. it's also obvious Israel is relying on the horror it's caused in Gaza to distract people from holding them to account for their ongoing violence in the rest of Palestine, as well as Lebanon, Syria and the Congo. Israel divided Palestine up so the world would forget it, don't be party to that. Talk about Gaza, the West Bank, Jenin, Hebron because it's all Palestine and all of it must be free. End the occupation. End the apartheid state of Israel.

motaz azaiza just posted a video of israeli officers indiscriminately shooting at civilians (and him) as they tried to run away. he and bisan and all other on-site journalists are living in a nightmare simulator just so they could be the ears and eyes of gaza—and yet we still have people who’re “considering whether this is any of their concern” “uninformed so they refuse to speak” “choosing to stay neutral.” motaz was one of the journalists who basically posted their eulogies earlier this week. this can’t get any more horrifying and dystopian. we need a ceasefire.

Not that Israel ever stopped but Israeli officials have announced that their focus now is on the city of Khan Younis which is in southern Gaza, the exact area Israel and their fanbase were adamant that Gazans should "relocate to" for safety.

700 people have been killed by Israeli shelling in the past 24 hours.

I no longer have any hope of survival like I had at the beginning of this genocide, and I am certain that I will die in the next few weeks or maybe days. I have been sick with severe viral infection for days and cannot move from the mattress!

I suffer from nightmares that are so closely resemble reality that I no longer differentiate between reality and dream.

I live in a world other than the one I claimed to be building! I am a community activist who lived on the fantasy that the world was free and just, and I sought to bring rights not only to my people, but to many men and women in third world countries!

I was shocked that I was not from the third world! Indeed, we are the most humane and moral! Yes, because the world approves, supports, and finances the genocide we are being subjected to, legislates it, and gives reasons for for 58 days! While we are a people who have been living on occupied land for 75 years and are still searching for our rights and communicating our voice to the world!

My message to the world: You are not innocent of what is happening to us, you as governments or peoples that support Israel’s annihilation of my people. Massive fuck you to everyone who is talking about Palestinians as if we’re already all dead and sharing more solidarity with our corpses than us living. “We will never forget the beautiful Palestinian people-“ how about you stop “making peace” with Palestinian extermination. My people are not going to be forgotten because we are going to live. Palestinians have already survived one genocide and have been surviving one ever since.
