Southwestern Baked Hummus Dip
This Paleo-friendly recipe yields perfectly cooked filet mignon steaks with a simple seasoning, highlighting the natural flavors of the meat. It's an easy and delicious way to enjoy a high-quality cut of beef.
Ingredients: 2 filet mignon steaks 6-8 oz each. 1 tbsp avocado oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Remove the filet mignon steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and pepper. Heat a cast iron skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add avocado oil to the skillet and swirl to coat the bottom. Once the skillet is hot, carefully place the steaks in the skillet. Cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your desired level of doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. Slice the steaks against the grain and serve immediately.
