OWCA deadass said āyo Heinz weāre sending a platypus to kick your ass. his name is Perry xoxoā
I always assumed that it happened like this:
Perry: (crashes through window)
Doofenshmirz: A platypus?!
Perry: (puts on hat)
Doofenshmirz: Aāplatypus wearing a fedora?!
(Perry hands Doofenshmirtz a business card. Doofenshmirtz puts on his reading glasses.)
Doofenshmirz: (gasps) PERRYĀ the Platypus!
I hate how in-character this is

What Happened To Kendrick Johnson and Why People Are Demanding Answers Even Now
On Jan. 11, 2013, the body of 17-year-old Kendrick Johnson was found in the most unusual of circumstances: upside-down and rolled up in a school gym mat. The mysterious death of Kendrick Johnson was initially ruled an accident by law enforcementĀ asserting the ridiculous theory that Johnson must have accidentally fallen into the center of the mat while reaching for a sneaker
Some inconsistencies in the case:
the black and white gym shoe that lay on the ground below Kendrick Johnson, the one he was presumed to be reaching for, was lying on top of a pool of blood, but there was no blood on the shoe itself.
A hoodie and a pair of orange and black gym shoes were also found lying on the floor of the gymĀ
traces of blood on the wall nearby that wasnāt Kendricks.Ā
A private pathologist revealedĀ Kendrick Johnson had suffered hemorrhaging on the right side of his neck, which meant that he likely died from blunt force trauma
the second autopsy revealed that some of Johnsonās organs were missing and in their place, his body had been stuffed with newspaper.
A whole hour of footage from the gym was missing, right at the time which would have shed light on what happened that day
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
-Ā Donate to his family! (they'reĀ nowhere near their goal)
-Ā Sign the petitionĀ
SPREAD THIS AND HIS STORY!!!

On twitter Iām seeing dozens of threads from Black activists warning people against burnout, giving all sorts of useful tips about preventing and managing it for the sake of a long-term, sustainable effort.
On tumblr Iām seeing a hell of a lot of young white kids yelling at anyone who actually follows those steps, and acting like burnout is a moral falling rather than a well-proven psychological phenomenon.
Be careful who you get your information from. Donāt let guilt lead you to make choices that will harm both you and the movement.
Iām going to reblog this again since I see more individuals are inquiring about burnout prevention tips in the notes and itās why I sought out this resource. I hope it helps you!

I KNOW this is a lot, guys. But any little bit helps
Iām fairly sure most of us are aware that nearly 50% of the victims of extrajudicial police killings in the US are disabled, and Iād like to think most of us have also thought through the fact that being black and disabled is a lot more dangerous than being white and disabled.
But Iād just like to add the results of this study to your pool of knowledge.
More than half of black people in the US with a disability will be arrested by the time they reach their late 20s.
Just sit with that for a moment. More than half.
In case you donāt understand how seriously ableism and racism is embedded into this system.

Hey guys, I found this tweet from yesterday (June 3) and decided to post as an alert. They might decide to do it again in NYC and other places, so please, take care.
Protesting works: donāt let it die
Reminder to not give up, you are bringing about change.
List of positives to come out of the recent protests as of June 4:
- George Floydās murderer charged with murder and manslaughter, then had charges increased, then the officers that watched it happen were charged with aiding and abetting
- Louisville police (Breonna Taylorās murderers) department will now be under review from an outside agency, which will include review onĀ training, bias-free policing and accountability. (Unfortunately her killers have still not faced charges yet as far as I could find.)
- Charges are to be dropped for Kenneth Walker
- Atlanta has announced plans to create a task force + public database to track police brutality in metro Atlanta area
- Minneapolis city council members are considering disbanding police force in favor of a ācommunity-oriented, nonviolent public safety and outreach capacityā
- Colorado lawmakers have introduced an incredible police reform bill that includes body cam laws, repealing theĀ āfleeing felonā statute, banning chokeholds, and more
Feel free to add more if you know of more!
- LA Mayor announces plans to reduce funding to police department by about $150M and instead invest that in minority communities for jobs and education
Big Warning
If you see a police car or a cop with a speaker looking thing on it, FUCKING RUN. It's known as an LRAD (Long Range Acoustic Device), a device that, when activated, can permanently damage your hearing and cause serious harm. If you're too close, you'll be left in a lot of pain and squirming on the ground permanently deaf. Ear plugs do not work. Unless you have one of those shooting range headphones, you do not stand a chance against them. Again, if you see them pull up, RUN. This is what they look like.
Stay safe.
More specifically, run to the side if possible, LRADs are directional weapons (30-60° arc), so the further u can move out of the line-of-sight the better you'll be, though the cops also know this & tend to use them when protestors can only flee in one direction
