Ok still haven't had time 2 draw but I keep thinking about it. The huge church doors are closed, but a light seeps out from under, dull, pulsing, light. The knight approaches still weary from sleep and presses an ear to the door. The wooden doors muffle all sound, unless it's not making any sound to hear. Typical. It turns away from the door and stalks back through the tall grass to the shed and begins to rummage. As it walks back it scans the blood trail, the way the thing dragged itself across the field suggests it's bigger than a mutt, smaller than a horse. Hm. The knight finally finds what it's looking for. After blindly pawing around in the dark it takes a hat fork and trudges back out. This time not quite making the same effort to be as quiet. The knight opens the door as the hinges scream from disuse. So much for subtlety.

Laying draped across the pulpit is a glass angel. With light streaming in from the moon outside it reflects it across the walls, illuminating a variety of stained glass tableaus. The knight lifts it's fork and takes a step, heeled boot echoing on stone, the creature lifts it's head. ? Is that its head? The eyeless angel turns what looks like a head towards the approaching knight and begins to shift. Limbs buckling unable to support its weight. The angel grows frantic as the knight takes another step forward. It may not have eyes but the knight is sure the angel can detect it.

The knight takes a step back and the beast settles. A step forward again and it bleats pathetically. An awful wailing as limb falls over limb. The knight lowers the hay fork and the angel whimpers. They are at an impasse...
