rcliabilityâ:
âdog?â joe repeats confused, blinking a couple of times before he realises he already made a lot of very big mistakes in allowing gomamon to walk off and talk as he pleased. he still doesnât know much about this world and what is normal and whatnot and the last thing he wants to be is weird. before being a digidestined, he is simply your average adolescent in his final teen years. self conscious first and foremost, and with a whole bunch of needless stress about growing up and having to be an adult now. still, it is already far too late to claim his partner a stuffed toy as he usually does, especially as gomamon is the one who takes over the conversation.
âiâm not a dog!â he snaps and wiggles in joeâs grasp as though he is ready to fight. or throw hands at the very least. but he seems to settle down again when the world cute is used about him. âiâm not a dog,â he repeats, âiâm a digimon! my name is gomamon! nice to meetâcha~!â
âand this is joe!â he then continues to introduce his partner who nods his head in greeting. standing a bit awkwardly around, shifting from foot to foot, joe is not sure if he should sit down with the woman or not. in the first place it would be kind of embarrassing to do so randomly with someone he doesnât know who just so happened to be a girl. but then again she does seem to have handed him a roundabout invitation, and he is interested in hearing more, both about the place he finds himself in now as well as the whole aspect of parallel worlds. so in the end he sits down with a slight blush and a âsorry for the intrusion.âÂ
âto be fair, i think talking dogs would probably be weird no matter where you went!â joe admits, glad that what he knows to be common sense at least applies to one other place in the quantum sea or whatever koushirou called it. âgomamon is⊠well, digimon are sort of an exception i guess, but theyâre not really from my world in the first place so i guess you can say heâs also kind of weird by my own standards butââ how does he explain this without sounding like a madman or some kid who still hasnât outgrown his chuunibyou phase?
âwell, i have to admit that we donât have any animal-humans in my world either unless itâs cosplayâŠâ so from that perspective, his conversation partner, too, is incredibly weird, but he tries to shake his feelings of common sense and what should and should not be, and simply accept her for what she claims to be. âi do kind of know what kitsune is except itâs only from fiction so itâs a bitâŠâ no, he cannot call her weird to her face. âanyway, it surprised me i guess. and gomamon. he isnât even used to humans in generals so i guess you caught his interest.â hearing his name called, gomamon raises a paw with a âyessssss!â before going back to eyeing the womanâs cup of tea intensely.
âi guess iâm more surprised that youâre really casual about him. most people back home freak out at the thought of monsters and wouldnât even for a second consider that parallel worlds can exist.â while he was talking joe can feel his partner tug at his sleeve, and he sighs, already knowing what the creature wants. he nods at the otherâs beverage. âis this some kind of cafe? iâm totally new to this place so i donât know my way around at all. where can i get some snacks?â
Flare smiled seeing the male sit down at her table, it seems her wish had come true, well there goes one of the three she had, if the three wishes rule was something go off of. The explanation about this...Digimon was rather odd and did not really explain anything that she had a question about. But questions could come later here and there, she did have a tea time buddy at this point and in a few minutes they would think she is weird. To think that someone would NOT be casual around a friendly monster to her was a foreign idea, it seemed they did not come from the same world.
âItâs nice to meet you Joe, and...Gomamon was it? A mouthful but nothing compared to my name. I am Ritsuko Diasake, but for simplicity you may refer to me as Flareâ Flare would say her tail swaying more, it seemed she was happy. âSo these digimon come from a different world into your world? That resembles the myths in my world about the Fey, infernal, and primordial realms.â She then would go on. âBut of course i would be casual. I am no stranger to monsters that are friendly to humans or human like creatures, humanoids if you prefer. Such are vastly present in my world and sometimes kept as pets...however i am far more common to meet dangerous ones. Direwolves, Roks/Rocs, Dragons, even the occasional Litch had begun to be a problem.â
âYour world has non like me...? At all? We are a myth to you then? I wish i could say my kind was more common in my world as well. We are often hunted and seen with extreme prejudice or racism. Many of my kind are made slaves, though i am what you call an âadventurerâ I have liberated an entire kingdom with my guild. And in said guild i am high ranked. Level twelve to be exact, but beyond me are eight higher levels of powerful.â Her ears then flick at the mention of snacks to which she gave a small giggle and took a small pouch from her pocket placing it on the table to show her stash of gold coins. âYes you can order them here, consider it on me for accompanying lonely old me on this fine afternoon.â
