You've arrived just before dinner. Bronwyn asks you to play, and you check on the children outside before finding Alma - right on time. You join her, Olive, and Emma in the kitchen, where the girls are making tea together. You realize what the radio is talking about and try to dial it to another station, and Alma comes over to turn it off instead. No sense listening to unpleasant things, after all.

You mostly follow Alma around, though when she goes to answer the phone you join the children for movie time.

I have been loving ambient soundtracks lately and thus tried making a little thing for mphfpc because I'm quite frankly in love with Alma Peregrine. This is a very short version but I'm hoping to make a longer one of higher quality soon. Please let me know what you think should be included. By longer, I mean it'll likely be a nice two hours or so of just living in the loop sounds, so plenty of time to do things. I added the air raid siren because I've been reading the War That Saved My Life alongside MPHFPC and I'm not quite sure I like the siren being there.

sometimes that character just wouldn’t hide an injury. it’s a great trope but only if they would do that.

and sometimes the character wouldn’t try to push through sickness and do their day job or whatever. again i see what you’re going for but sometimes in these fics something else can happen. open your hearts and minds to scenarios such as “the character is actually pretty expressive about their needs and is willing to complain a lot but the other characters still don’t take it that seriously for whatever reason and have to deal with the guilt and quencies after”. or “the character takes a rest at the appropriate time (or earlier!) but then faces punishment/being ignored/hostility for doing so and that is what worsens their condition into a serious one.” or “the character is a practical one who informs people sensibly and takes every necessary step, yet to their distress their condition still spirals out of the control.” or whatever else but just do you see what i’m saying not every character is a silent sufferer and that isn’t the only way to put them in a situation . we can innovate

sometimes someone I follow falls victim to severe Character delirium to the point where they stop even saying the character's name and just refer to them by an epithet like some kind of malevolent entity whom they don't wish to accidentally summon, so if the sickness sets in quickly enough and I don't pay close attention for a week I'm just Never going to figure Who this bastard haunting my friend Actually Is. and I'll spend months scrolling my dash occasionally seeing appeals to "that fucking horse" or "my evil grub."

this was my first time experiencing this but if you don't romance anyone and then do the tower ending, you hear jackie speaking to you, not your love interest (and a little of vik but you always hear vik's lines)
