personal life issues. may do a final summer showdown rundown for Toronto this stage. Or do 2 games at once later this week or next week. not sure I'll be able to put out any decent content for the time being.
now that gladiators have taken down the shock, things finally seem to be settling down in the power r—-what’s this?! BY GOD, IT’S EU OVERWATCH WITH A STEEL CHAIR
Today is a sad day for rain. But please continue supporting teams like O2 Blast that do there best to follow in the footsteps of Runaway.
thank you for everything 💙
Toronto vs Houston (super belated)
This took forever because I wanted to try and grab so ult stats to write this. Ended up helping family and procrastinating.
Still finishing my watch thru of Tor vs Hou and grabbing my personal stats. Its time consuming but Ive also been watching my nieces and nephews last few days. This is what i get for putting it off till later in the week.
Also been playing smite with friends and demanding them teach me a build that breaks tanks so i can teach tanks fear 1 game at a time. I also play hanzo in smite. I think he's called Hou Yi.
I also need to catch up on the Hangzhou Homestand. I caught some of the Dallas vs Florida game while watching kids and that first map was insane. Fielder built 3 Moira ults before a team even capped the point.
P.S Blizzard dumb af. Anyone with a brain knew this was going to happen with Moira when that patch hit. Hero is broken and IMMORTAL. Reaper on current patch mite be really broken for majority of player base on current patch. Not sure how reaper will look in pro play once hero bans come off.
Toronto vs Covid
Due to health issues with Logix and other players Toronto had to sign Aspire to a 30 day contract to compete this weekend. So in today's match against the San Francisco Shock the Defiant were a little short handed.
Fusion Uni playing right now in contenders trials https://youtu.be/Jdcz1LvnV3M
Was talking with an overwatch friend of many years. I brought up more of my issues with Overwatch 2 going 5v5. A solution I wanted to say was giving DPS more neutral game utility. An extra junkrat trap, maybe a faster CD on Sym tele, even extra sonics for Hanzo and extra mines for widow. Just to alleviate some of the pressure from the tanks. Creating scenarios for the solo tank to play around. Putting more skilled decisions in the DPS hands, not just a few, but all of them. Would make it feel more like the rest of the team is playing with the tank and not that the tank is playing alone.
THE RAT RETURNS
APAC Thoughts
Was going to make a million posts just now but this isn't twitter.
-Isn't Shy also the Ashe player for the Spark why this man popping off on Echo too.
-Choisehwan was known as a monster on Echo but dear god this man ethered the entirety of NYXL that match.
-Echo players if you read this im free on Thursday night and would like to hang out. Please respond to this and then hang out with me on Thursday night when I’m free.
-Eileen put on an absolute fucking clinic on Doomfist on Nepal.
-I believe at one point I saw the Charge running Orisa Winston and winning. Ok.
-Dragons, like many good teams, seem to be struggling when the hitscan carry and the main tank carry aren't able to carry as hard. LIP and Fate are probably the two best performing players on Shanghai this season. Winston is a struggle bus most the time. I believe its because there's not pressure from Tracer and no ability to swap to Reinhardt and a playable meta. If Winson isn't good on a certain section of a map or situation you still have to play Winston. Even worse if your main tank can't swap and play another main tank as well. At least with the Dragons I feel like its a coaching decision or team not feeling comfortable with Orisa. Fate is really really really good on Wrecking Ball and serviceable on Orisa.
-Reaper. Honestly no Tracer no Sombra. Genji sucks. You just want a DPS with sustain in the backline taking some focus away from the Front line. Reaper can alleviate some pressure from a Winston. But no where near as well as a Tracer or Sombra.
Rant Below Please Ignore
Woke up saw two of the APAC scores and started ranting about how no one knows the good teams because they don't have good records. Went off about how good the Charge are and that they'll soon start beating "better" teams.
(Spoilers)
Toronto Vs Boston
Welp, this match happened. Sado's struggles at main tank with hero bans were amplified against a team that could easily run Orisa and Sigma. Valentine abused Na1st with his inability to fight back without proper space from his frontline. IM37 was allowed to play Ashe freely. It felt like the entire match Toronto was playing at a disadvantage without being able to play the meta properly.
