There’s an emotion only unlocked when you live in a house with multiple stories. I call it “the stair emotion” and it’s when you realize the object you need is on the other side of yet another trip up and down those goddamn stairs. It’s the closest I get to transcending the desire for material goods. Maybe I don’t need that notebook. Maybe I don’t need anything.
every now n then i think about how native americans as human beings just dont exist in like 99% of mainstream media. in movies or tv shows or books or video games or you know even in porn like we just arent people. when theres a native character theyre like a wild west indian. like truly to ppl we all died back in the 1900s.
more benches in museums

THE foundational horse girls. to me.
“If voting did anything they would outlaw it.” Is such an insane take to me, because literally all of human politics for recorded history has centered around Outlawing the Vote.
rb to tell prev they're being so brave right now and pat their head a little please
Last Line Tag Game
Rules: Post the last line you wrote and tag as many people as there are words (or as many as you want).
Thanks for tagging me, @elleldoe <3
Technically the last line I wrote was some outlining stuff for a Pokemon White fic I've been rolling around in my mind, but as that is still in the messy starting stages of outlining, I'll offer up the last actual line I wrote for an ongoing fic instead.
So this is from chapter eight of my Percy/Tonks RomCom An Auror And A Lawyer Walk Into A Marriage Contract...:
“Which is a pity, since walking would allow him to spend more time with her,” Percy replied, feeling himself lean towards her. The gesture drew them closer to each other, and he felt the slight pressure of their linked arms through his coat.
No pressure tags for anyone who wants to join in the fun: @quihi, @featheryminx, @storieswritteninthesand, @mercuryandglass, @graveexcitement, and @floorsofsilentseas.
The last line I wrote was also from RBC although of course it wasn't from the WIP I actually need to be working on lol.
I'm going to Bora Bora tomorrow," Pansy said. "Come with me."
I like your choice of tagged people but I'll add @thewriterofawesomeness, @killerfuzzel, @melodypowers65, @allthebooksandcrannies, @evilwickedme
I think one of the gentlest things in the world is when a friend just gets your weird little brain. like you say half a sentence and they finish it. you reference something incredibly niche from seven years ago and they’re already nodding. they understand your strange vocabulary for emotions that don’t have real words yet. it’s being seen and known and still loved. maybe especially because you’re known. god. what a gift.
i think "turning into a pumpkin" is my new favorite way to articulate the state of things when I am at a function and very overstimulated and it feels like my brain is melting. it's like no i can't be a person anymore i have to leave i'm turning into the pumpkin. the time is up yeah i gotta go. yeah see u later. pumpkin time.
My brother says that, I think it's a navy slang he learned about getting too close to curfew. It might not have originated there but I'm almost certain that's where he learned it.
i hate when goyim go "If you've ever wondered what you'd do during the Holocaust, you're doing it now" because it's always to make the speaker feel better and it's never about Jews.
so. goyim, I, a Jew, say to you: If you've ever wondered what you'd be doing during the Shoah, you're doing it now.
Are you silent when there's an antisemitic attack? That's what you'd be doing during the Shoah.
Are you distancing yourself, if not outright cutting yourself off, from Jewish friends? That's what you'd be doing during the Shoah.
Are you justifying and excusing and legitimizing and rationalizing antisemitism? That's what you'd be doing during the Shoah.
Are you outright celebrating antisemitism and antisemitic attacks? That's what you'd be doing during the Shoah.
So. Non-Jews. Look at your reactions and actions to the skyrocketing antisemitism today. How you are behaving now is exactly how you'd be behaving during the Holocaust.
Ryan Gosling’s career has just been one long quest to climb the Warner Bros water tower
that man has been trying to climb this tower since he was 16. he has asked multiple times, and every time they said no, but now he’s famous enough & variety was able to convince them to do a shoot on the tower. it all led here. it was all for this.
I’m obsessed with the implication that this was a coming-of-age ritual where a boy becomes a man, like a bar mitzvah

you should get a second evening for reading fan fiction. And you should get an extra day in the week to do arts and crafts.
i’m so thankful we’re alive to smell flowers and touch saltwater and get chilled in the breeze and take deep breaths and make foods warm with love and dance and laugh and move and wake up and dig our hands in dirt and eat strawberries and draw mindlessly and remember and sing and joke and walk down the same street again and again and make meaning. we are so lucky we get to be and feel and keep going
