My predictions for what will happen when Ralsei (hopefully) comes out as trans

There will suddenly be a wave of Ralsei hate, and even more people will treat their actions during chapter 5 and their tendency to keep secrets as completely unforgivable sins.

People will go online and somehow claim that there were literally no signs of this at all.

People who were fans of galsei as a prediction will be harassed for "forcing Toby to make Ralsei trans".

Theory people will claim that Ralsei being reffered to with she/her pronouns is actually about Gaster somehow, and totally doesn't mean that she's a girl, actually.

Some dipshits will claim that the chapter "ruined Deltarune" for reasons that are definitely not at all about there being a character with an explicitely trans story.

Ralsei will say something along the lines of: "I am a transgender girl and use exclusively she/her pronouns" and people will somehow still not get it.

People will say that because this only happens on the normal route, it actually isn't canon somehow.

Some dipshits will claim that this only happens because Ralsei feels forced to be a girl, despite the fact that the scene where the reveal happens literally being about how Ralsei wants to do something no matter if other people want it or not.

The fundamental issue with a cisgender/transmasc reasing of Yiffany Longstocking Lalonde Harley is the fact that Yiffy being named Yiffy does not at all fit with Jade's established character in HSBC in the slightest if Jade both came up with it and then also didn't change Yiffy's name later because "she was too lazy to fill out paperwork".

It implies that Jade "I want her to have a normal life" Harley is what, too stupid to think that Yiffanny is a "not normal" name that would call attention to how she is part dog? And in the hypothetical where Yiffy was bullied for her name (which is a hypothetical right now since she could have just, not been) that Jade also refused to change Yiffy's name into a "more normal" one because she was "too lazy to fill out paperwork" (something stated by known liar Rose Lalonde).

Yiffy choosing her own name simply fits alongside the way she presents her dog features (Not tucking hiding her tail, getting a prominent red piercing on her dog ears that she was meant to hide) much more so then any explanation given by Rose and lack of explanation given by Jade.

Ralsei will come out in Chapter 6 and use exclusively she/her afterwards but nobody will actually turn to the screen and say “Ralsei is a transgender woman who uses she/her exclusively now” so:

-the Wiki will not list he/him as “(formerly)”, keeping it the same, and will also cite she/her as “(latter half of ch6 on certain playthroughs only)”

-the theory space will discuss how all of the explicit transgender stuff revolving around her is actually an elaborate allusion to a ch7 mid boss, all while still using he/him for Ralsei almost exclusively

-the flag that controls the pronoun change will be called “Ralsei is transgender” and people will say it doesn’t count as evidence because it’s in the files and not onscreen

being a woman in hometown means either reducing yourself for the sake of placating/avoiding men or dying. even susie hides behind the impression of being a bully because it gets people to leave her alone, and even then berdly is still relentless in harassing her. even the “cold” and “vicious” carol holiday makes herself scarce, and why wouldn't she? the world is a horrible place for people like her. the least she could do is ensure she and her daughter stay protected, even if it means keeping them both locked away. she already lost one of her own before, and we can only extrapolate what their relationship was like; it was probably less a matter of contention on her end than concern and coddling and misunderstanding that only made dess feel more trapped, more paranoid. she didn't know how to deal with the kid, sort of like how kris's parents couldn't really handle them properly either. toriel checked out how to care for humans a lot, back then.

Hometown's Festival is EXTREMELY cisheteronormative (the centerpiece is a King and Queen festival, like come the fuck on m8) Blue teaches Susie about flower language (look it up), and the chapter has a pretty heavy emphasis on gender (Ralsei being trans was confirmed in this chapter, Seth is some form of genderqueer, Green is nonbinary, the secret boss is LITERALLY a trans woman, etc). I didn't really believe in the trans headcanons for Jax, Ralsei and John Egbert until I read a comic about John possibly being trans-masc and then I was an instant believer.

Like no shade to any transfem headcanoner at all but honestly idk if I can see them them being anything else other than a trans guy, especially Jax, I'm sorry-

Wrote a calm and quite frankly very charitable mini-essay on the Deltarune subreddit about how it isn't wrong to "misgender" Ralsei by using she/her. It got deleted within 5 minutes, barely enough time to read the thing over properly assuming they saw it the literal second it went up. I wasn't given a reason and it broke no rules. Dozens of posts about how "misgendering" Ralsei is wrong are still up and doing numbers. Transmisogyny in a predominantly queer space, who could have seen that one coming?

Fucking fuming because someone told me on tik tok that Ralsei using they/them is a "one time thing btw at the very end of one chapter" and that "hrough chapter 1-4 has been described by male pronouns and even in the same chapter he still had male pronouns it was just a one time thing". Ralsei is quite literally figuring things about about their identity, and growing as a person. People need time to figure stuff out. -include a godlike character vaguely hinted at for over a decade

-explain three layers of fiction in a meta sense through a diagetic lensplay through the route in which:

-unmask the knight and explain their identity and why/how they do what they do

-make the main character lose a hand.

To do that, they need evidence from the Route that:

-You emotionally manipulate a teenager into slaughtering a city, as well as her best friend, using the guise of her childhood friend forcing romance onto her.

-includes Chapter Four and the allegory apparently nobody wants to ever talk about because a few people were weird about it the week 5at the chapter came out. Which is an issue in its own right but that’s for another time.

-has an hour-long chapter in which that teenager coerces said childhood friend into drowning themself in the lake with her.

But they also have to play a different route to access the newest chapter that contains:

-an entire scene in which each of the main chapter darkners explain their gender identities

-a major Darkner whom has a large portion of their writing be how they are questioning their gender identity

-a long-established transfem character as a secret boss, in a relationship with her own body given life by a Dark Fountian.

But yeah a character saying “I’m a girl” is just too out there. Yeah.

This scene here really captures everything that I find so beautiful and tragic about Kris and Noelle's relationship. The reason this is such a poignant scene for me isn't just that it shows Kris and Noelle's relationship is still as strong as ever; it's also because it shows that it's strong despite the fact that both of them think they don't deserve to be together again! Because they want to be close again, and yet they just can't bring themselves to do so because their low self-esteem and inferiority complexes keep telling them that they're not good enough.

The sad fact is, you'll find plenty of moments where Kris and Noelle don't think that they can be close to each other ever again, whether it be Kris shutting the book when they see pictures of them and Elly, or Noelle doubting that Kris would want to play piano for her after Susie talks about her newfound love for Kris's piano playing.

And yet, despite all of their doubts telling them they can never be together again, both of them not only spend time with each other at the festival, but end up doing things that remind both of them of what they used to have, be it riding the Ferris Wheel or voting for each other as Festival King/Queen.

Because the only thing Kris and Noelle want as much as to build their connection with Susie is to build back up their connection with each other! And I got a good feeling that Susie is gonna play a huge role in helping them do so!
