nora started the car with a roll of her eyes. “okay, so you were doing a favor for humanity and now i can barely afford rent,” she said bluntly, although the smile playing on her lips contradicted the harshness of her voice. “it’s fine, your mom never has to know. besides, i doubt it’ll be the last time i do something like this for you, if you continue acting like a superhero.”
“Seriously, thank you for bailing me out. I promise I’ll pay you back for it.” He said, still slightly guilty over the other having to go out of their way to help him. “And I’m not that bad, give me some credit. I like to think I only bend the rules when it really matters. So I’d be an anti-hero, if anything.”
