14. My character is terrified about something. Your character will only laugh at them.
Pierce had never seen so much blood, not even in the moment when he found Ron in a puddle of his own blood. This time the crimson substance was almost covering him completely, seeping through his jeans and splattered onto his shirt as he held his boyfriend in his arms. He couldn’t but feel completely helpless as he stared down at Tyler with wide eyes. Minutes prior to this moment he had received a phone from the man, only hearing panicked screams on the other end. Without thinking he found himself in this alleyway where he found Tyler bleeding to death. Pierce closed his eyes for a moment as he tried to stop himself from breaking out into a full blown panic attack. He needed to remain calm for Tyler’s sake. He opened his eyes once again when he felt a hand clutch onto his shirt.
He slowly lowered his gaze back down to Tyler, seeing blood pooling out of his lips. Pierce had to suppress a scream with his hand as he frantically looked around. He had stormed out of his house in a rush, dropping his phone on the floor of the foyer. Now he was stranded without anything that he could use to save Tyler.
“Some please help me!” He called out in desperation, his voice echoing into the empty void of the shadows. Suddenly, he saw his best friend Ron emerge from the darkness. A feeling of relief set in, assuming Ron had a phone on him.
“R-Ron! We need to do something! Help! Go get someone!” There was no way in hell he was leaving Tyler here by himself.
For a moment Ron just stood there in silence staring at him, but then his expression cracked and he began to start laughing. What the hell was he doing? There was absolutely nothing funny about this situation. Yet, his robust and hearty chuckles killed the ominous silence that surrounded them.
“R-Ron… why are you laughing? You’re s-scaring me.”
Suddenly Ron stopped laughing, a smirk playing on his lips as he moved closer to Pierce.
“Why would I help you? I’m the one who did this…” From behind the boy’s back a glimmering blade dripping with blood was revealed.
Suddenly Pierce sat up straight in the hospital bed, his eyes wide with fear. Of course, he had managed to fall asleep in the blanket fort that he made with Ron. Taking in a deep breath he glanced over at his best friend who was still fast asleep. With a small sigh he shook his head. It was a silly dream in retrospect. Ron would never do anything to hurt him. But, maybe there was something that was trying to be said in this dream. He gave his shoulders a small shrug before lying back down beside Ron and snuggling closer to the other boy, trying to attempt sleep once more. Hopefully this time the dream would be more pleasant.
