Hello guys! š
Since some of you have asked me about this recently, I felt I should let you know here that I am not currently taking any more commissions. I still have several people in queue and I wouldn't like the waiting list to be so long :') I must also make an adjustment in the prices of each commission I offer, several of you have suggested it to me (thank you for being so honest and support my growth as an artist āØļøš·). Checking the commissions I've left to draw, I think it's safe to say that I'll be reopening commish season around january.
To be completely honest, I spent a lot of time managing the same prices for fear of losing customers mostly, but it's true that I have improved my skill a lot and now I even dedicate more hours to each illustration I make. That's why, in fact, I think it is necessary to increase the value of my commissions proportionally to the time I spend working on them. Thank you to everyone who has supported me all this time and especially to the commissioners who have encouraged me to make these kind of decisions.
Although it is a decision already made, I would like to know what you think about it and I am open to any opinion you may have, as long as it is constructive of course š. I would appreciate it if you would comment and let me know what you think.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for supporting my art in many ways! :)
It feels like I've been commissioning you for forever, and even at the beginning I thought you should be charging WAY more than you were. I'm glad to see that you are placing more value on your time and effort, you 100% deserve it!
I think a lot of abled people get confused about ableism because they fail to recognize how diverse a category disability is. There are so many kinds of disabilities - intellectual, sensory, motor, chronic illness, neurodivergence, limb differences, to name a few - and people in these categories will have different needs.
Which is why you often end up with disability advocates saying seemingly ācontradictoryā things. One group may be advocating for more support while another wants increased independence. People with a terminal illness will fight for a cure and more research whereas some ND/sensory disabilities want to stop having their experience medicalized, and so on. The kinds of ableism that people experience will also vary for that reason.
And having one kind of disability doesnāt make you an expert on all of them! Which is why itās important to have diverse disability rep within organizations and groups. Iāve encountered organizations in the past that claim to be accessible/disability friendly because they have one disabled person on their board, only to find them woefully unequipped to deal with my very different disabilities.
This disability pride month I really encourage abled āalliesā to examine the ways they try to flatten disability into a monolith and to make an effort to listen to and uplift diverse disabled voices.
Lytton, Abbotsford and Lillooet were some of the hottest places in B.C. on Saturday
From Abbotsford to Yoho National Park, a heat wave shattered temperature records in British Columbia on Saturday ā and meteorologists expect the weather to get even hotter over the next couple of days.
The Village of Lytton was the hottest place in the country Saturday, with a record-breaking 43.2 C according to Environment Canada. The previous record there was set in 2006, at 39.9 C.
Other notable highs include the Fraser Valley, which broke 40 C at Cultus Lake for the first time yesterday.
In the Cache Creek area, temperatures soared to 42.5 C, and Lillooet set a new record at 43.1 C. Temperatures in the Pemberton Valley are so high an evacuation order has been issued because of rising river levels caused by snowmelt.

For all Americans keeping track 50c is around 123f i think. Itās what the summer temps in Arizona and New Mexico are like usually.
And for anyone who would like to say ālol thatās just summer here, nbd,ā these are places where homes and most businesses do not generally have air conditioning. It doesnāt get hot enough during the summer to have a/c. Care homes might not have a/c in individual rooms. People are going to die from this. Forests are going to burn because of this.
Texan here.
Put foil on your windows and block with heavy blankets or curtains to keep sunlight out, thatās where the majority of your cool air leaves.
If you canāt get a hold of fans buy ice packs and stuff the freezer with em, you can place wrap them in towels and place them on pulse points on your body to keep you cool and avoid heat stroke.
If you do have a fan place a bowl of ice behind it to spread that cold air around the room
Wear your lightest clothing both in fabric and color WEAR LONG SLEEVES IN A LOOSE LIGHTWEIGHT FABRIC IT TRAPS SWEAT AND IT KEEPS YOU COOL, heat is attracted to dark colors.
Drink water no matter how thirsty you are, mix in gatorade to keep electrolytes up. Try to avoid ice cold though because it causes your body to heat up even more.
I hope this helps any of my Canadian followers. Some of us Texans still suffer so help these tips we use down here help yaāll up there.

I wish this feeling upon everyone who wants to wear a dress, its really the best
this makes me so happy as a fat hairy guy who likes skirts and dresses i never get to see guys like me in dresses itās always skinny twinks this makes me so happy š„ŗš„ŗ
If you are a larger gentleman, and wish to partake of the dress-wearing experience, please accept these tips to help fit your first dress!
1) You want something with stretch in it. Dresses are (often) built for people with boobs, and until you get familiar with how they fit your specific body, trying something super-stiff will 100% end in tears. I promise you, I am 32 years old, I have been wearing dresses all my life, and I still get pissed at dressing room mirrors because who the fuck designs some of these. There are fitted, tailored dresses designed by sane people who expect that their clothes will be worn by human beings, and they will make you look fine as fuck, but make your life easy and donāt start with them.
2) Dress sizes were designed by sixteen ferrets on crack and are not consistent between brands, styles, or vintage vs modern. Use them as a guideline, not a rule, and donāt let them upset you. Very often theyāre adjusted in order to target a specific audience.
3) Lauren by Ralph Lauren is an amazing plus-size brand. Both of my fitted dresses are Lauren dresses, and that isnāt because Iām a label snob, itās because I try on a dress that I think looks good and I go āYEEEEEEEEEESSSSSā and then pull it off and look at the label and go ā ⦠. why am I surprised?ā When youāre ready to branch out into fitted dresses, I strongly recommend finding your local Macyās or Nordstrom and checking out their Lauren section. Even if you donāt buy anything from that section, it will give you a much better idea of how fitted dresses should look (flattering!) and feel (comfortable!).
4) Empire waists are your enemy. Those are the ones with the raised waistline that, on someone with boobs, sits right beneath said appendages. They will 1) ride up and 2) make you look pregnant, and without breasts to fill out the cups itāll look like you donāt know how to fit your size. It does not matter who you are or how tall you are, if youāre above like a size four, empire waists are not going to be comfortable or give you the look you want. Just save yourself the time.
5) Arm holes on a sleeveless dress do not fit like arm holes on a tank top. Theyāre cut differently. Before you buy, MAKE SURE you cross your arms over your front and give yourself the biggest hug you can. Then put your arms behind you as far as you can. If you feel the fabric snag or chafe, you will end up wasting your money because the dress will be stupidly uncomfortable. You might be able to fix this by getting the same dress one size up, but if you choose to try one size up, prepare yourself for disappointment first. Itās often a sign of poor design or craftsmanship.
6) Part of trying on your dress should be SITTING DOWN. If this isnāt a dress you plan to wear with tights or leggings, you need to make sure it covers the backs of your thighs. (Either that, or you need to resign yourself to peeling yourself off chairs, and that fucking hurts.)
7) If you wear a mix of different underwear types, make sure you wear boxers when you go to try on dresses. Nothing will suck more than throwing on your dress and realizing you can see your shorts very easily underneath.
Reblogging for tip #2
eShakti is also good for custom sized dresses.
