I am diagnosed ADHD
I love Isopods and nature themes. I practice witchcraft (in my own way, I like talking about it!) however my migraines mean I go through phases where I am unable to practice.
I'm into a lot of different niches, so I reblog anything that interests me

Sometimes my ADHD ruins my spiritual shit lmao. If I'm thinking about how nice it is to think that some souls could reincarnate as trees for a life of rest, and how I could incorporate trees into my practice, I then feel really weird about the idea of taking a piece of a tree if there might be a reincarnated soul just chilling in there?? Like obviously I would be respectful and leave an offering and say thank you and yada yada yada. But I REALLY over think these things so much sometimes.
ADHD and witchcraft are difficult to navigate sometimes, like I think so deeply about things and I love it but also its a curse because I constantly worry about things lol.

YO WITCHY TALK REAL QUICK SCROLL IF YOU AINT INTO THAT
Okay so I haven't had ANY access to my witchcraft stuff for a couple months now and I have packed the last of it away because we could be moving any time now. I'm looking for a chronic illness friendly way of connecting and getting back on my path. I usually do this by having some hot herbal tea and sitting by a window, maybe some relaxing music playing, but I feel like I need a little extra kick you know? Something that doesn't require much use of tools or ingredients? It's difficult to ground myself because of all this anxiety.
What do you fellow witchy folks do to help you feel better?
I'm not sure if either of them would have helpful suggestions, but @shimmeringecho and/or @tuiliel might have some. I hope you can figure something out and that the move goes as smoothly as possible!
I mean, I like to share a cup of tea with guides/gods/allies and just invite them into that moment with me. Otherwise... what kind of stuff do you normally do when your shit isn't packed away, op?
Genuinely a great question, I would usually do a general tarot or oracle reading and take my time looking at the cards, if I felt the need arise obviously I do spell work, mostly protective. I think as my tools for this aren't around I'm finding it difficult to find ways of integrating these practices without them? Im sure I can get by with sigils and things like that but I'm kind of drawing blanks? Sorry if that doesn't make sense haha
There are a couple of apps for divination out there (I really like the ones from The Fools Dog, they have multiple decks each as their own app iirc) which might be helpful!
And I do a lot of my spellwork mostly with herbs and meditation, so if you're already drinking a lot of herbal tea, you could move a bit in that direction perhaps? Mint and ginger are both protective and pretty easy to find! Could always dip your finger in the tea to draw a sigil, but I find that some types of sigils can be a lot of mental work, so I mostly use bindrunes, where I just kinda pick a couple runes and write them together with their lines on top of each other.

I would recomend a simmer pot. It's heavier on the ingerdients, but if you have a few tea bags, and an orange and water it'll work. If you're packing pots and pans last it might be a good idea, make the old place smell nice.
I would say that some of the disconnect might come from that anxiety paired with the transition of the move. Set asside what you might need for a travel alter. A little box with various tools you can carry with you on the final trip to the new place. I used a cookie tin when I moved, I kept some matches, some incense, my tarot cards, a few bagged spices, and some tealight candles in it. Just what you need. It's someplace familiar to comeback to while everything is changing.
Thank you for this suggestion! Definitely, I think you're right with where the disconnect is coming from, and I like the idea of a simmer pot a lot. Unfortunately we had to move a lot of boxes into storage to make room for packing other stuff so my cards are buried at the moment :'). I always keep herbal tea around that I use in my rituals so I think that will definitely help bring me back into headspace

It is so genuinely terrifying when you realize that your younger sibling is going to be completely unable to function as an adult. My sister is nearing late twenties and cannot distinguish between what she thinks is going to happen vs reality.
Her expectations of what she can do with minimum wage is baffling. No, you will not be able to afford a car and move out while working part time gurl. I'm sorry.
She is unable to function in a fulltime job, which is NOT her fault, however I am begging for her to have some self awareness of what she can and cannot do. She is very VERY neurodivergent but refuses to get diagnosed outside of ADHD.
She's impulsive, cannot remember instructions, very quick to anger, and has no interest in much else then her interests.
I genuinely don't know what to do for her. She still lives with my racist fuckwad dad who influences her opinions and I cannot have clear conversations with her.

Well, I've been blocked on everything by my younger sibling and my dad doesn't want to talk to me. I feel so free oh my god. The weight of constant arguing and feeling like I don't belong is just like, gone. It's magical
