so i am a freelancer and i was asked to order CK underwear for them but the model he wanted was no longer available on any website so informed him but then he got upset and said i wasn't looking carefully and sent me a link to a model and asked me to buy it. i arranged it and we had to buy that internationally and pay customs and all that. only for him to text me and say it is the wrong product. i checked with the CK team and it was what he linked to me. now i couldn't even return or replace because we had to dropship and have it shipped internationally so the return window was expired. he told me i had to bear the loss and i communicated that i ordered what he linked to me and he said it was the wrong fabric and that he explained to me. but the thing is me and his other assistant in bali reviewed the whole thing as well as sent him confirmation twice before the order and he approved it. i am aware this is some sort of power play and i feel horrible because i have to bear the cost of a mistake i did not make, at least not entirely. the underwear was 300$ for the set and the rest 200$ was for shipping, customs and taxes. you know the worst part is, he is a billionaire. like actual billionaire but it only further proves that money cannot buy compassion or empathy but only fuel that hollow ego inside because this is the same person that orders me to buy 1500$ bouquet for funsies for him. so yeah this is power play but unfortunately i cannot do anything for now except pay and be done and dusted. as you know i recently had a surgery and i can't pay upfront so i really need help right now. if you can, please do consider helping me

apps you will need:
mico - for cool funky fun widgets that allow gifs, control centre widgets and customisation
widget smith - for photo widgets, Home Screen text widgets
pinterest - inspo, images for app icons and widgets
shortcuts - you will use this to make custom short cuts to apps which allow you to rename them and use a custom app icon/png
settings - focus for a customisable focus
thedaybefore - countdown widget !!

whenever i start making a theme i always start by going on Pinterest and looking up iphone/ipad layouts!! i have about six pages of apps on both devices and so i like to look up layout inspo to see how to organise them all and structure every page differently.
at this point i’ll dedicate a page to a specific types of apps i.e., my very first as essentials like safari, google, maps and google maps, uber, clock etc. my second page is all my social medias, my third is photos music and writing, fourth is my creative and entertainment page, fifth is admin like emails weather, health, banking etc!! you can set up pages w apps however you want but i like to do it this way.
i have sooo many apps so it’s also at this stage that I’ll start making groups of apps to reduce the number of pages i.e travel includes my train passes, spending includes online shopping/banking apps + wallet + calculator, my editing group has canva capcut canva etc etc. In the groups i’ll typically just use a colour icon to represent the app.
once you’ve laid out all your apps and where they’ll go. i start adding in blank widgets to sort of shape the pages and fill them up. just so once i have all my images for widgets and app icons ready i don’t have to move anything it’s all pre planned.
THEN comes the longest part. pinterest. i settle on a colour scheme for example blue: and will save three different categories of images. widgets (twt or discord banners for medium, profile pictures for small or large), pngs ( i will use these for app icons !! if you type in blue png for example you’ll get so many and for every colour ), and then just colour blocked images for the apps that are in those little groups.
i will usually make a board for this and trust me when i say i save around 200-400 pictures in total bc im super fussy and match things by tone!! i will also say that pinterest has official app icons by colour but i prefer pngs!! save all of these and add them to a folder on your phone !!!
then after this it’s pretty simple, go through page by page and select images for widgets First. it helps you set the tone/colour scheme for each page before you change app icons. mico has some really cute widgets like mp3 players, ipods, vinyl disks and even moving aquariums !!! there are so many !! i only use widgetsmith for static pictures !!
then use shortcuts - click the + then click ‘open app’ select the app you want, add your png icon and rename it to whatever ypi like (here you can add cute symbols or fonts to your app name) and then click add to Home Screen and VOILA! fun tip: I try to match my PNGs based on the contents of the app. for example - calculator app i would use a blue calculator png or health app i would use a blue plaster/bandaid png.
When you move your shortcuts to where your apps would be, i like to create a page specifically for the og app or you can hide them from your Home Screen!!
Also important to note: ALWAYSSS make your background /homescreen white if your using png icons - you can get pngs on black backgrounds too. i also try to throw in icons that aren’t just pngs but might be patterned images that match the colour scheme for variation
mico has all sorts of cute buttons for your control centre from letters to symbols!! it just means you might need to get rid of some of the traditional apple control centre things to make room for them! they can also play songs when you click the buttons, you just have to play around !!
focus in settings !! you can create custom focuses (mine is on all the time) I just match the colour to the theme/colour scheme
lock screen: i always do this last ?? idk !! again mico has some fun animations and widgets for the lock screen, I recommend widgetsmith text widgets for the homescreen too
apple widgets: apple has some really cool default widgets to fill space, like reminders or notes app!! you can make custom lists in reminders or quick notes to show specifically when you add these to your Home Screen. emojis help them fit in with your colour scheme
thedaybefore: i use this app to set countdowns like anniversaries and stuff! again you can add custom images to them to fit in with your colour scheme.
TLDR: Pick a layout for pages via Pinterest, organise your apps and widgets before hand, select a colour scheme or aesthetic i.e, pink and green or juminocore anddddd have fun!!! here is my current iphone layout for inspo and to help clarify any points :3 lmk if you have anymore questions !!
