The Root Of Success - Spell Jar
This is a nifty little spell jar designed to bring money and success to you. You can use it to get a raise at work, maybe land a client or even getting more sales through your shops.
Ingredients
▪️Sassafras Root Bark - for positive results and to bring money
▪️Dandelions leaf - for manifesting wishes and requests, acts as a catalyst
▪️Comfrey root - for bringing in money
▪️Green salt
▪️Lodestone and magnetic sand (I used untumbled Lodestone with the sand still attached) and some extra to sprinkle
▪️Green candle
▪️Sealable bottle or jar
Method
▪️ Add a layer of salt to the bottom
▪️ Drop the Lodestone in the centre and sprinkle the remaining magnetic sand around to create a layer
▪️ Add the comfrey root as one layer, the sassafras root bark as one layer and the dandelion leaf as the final layer and put the lid on the bottle or jar
▪️ Lighting the candle and using the wax, drip it over the lid and focus on your request.
For me, I concentrated on the amount I wanted, exactly how I was going to receive it and when I wanted it by and kept repeating it as I sealed the jar.
▪️ Make sure the jar is well sealed
▪️ Keep the jar where you can see it (maybe where you get ready for work or your workshop) and when you do, think about your intent.

Iron: The Flame that undoes Flame
Iron is perhaps one of the most perplexing items in magic. In the hands of non-witches, it can be used to undo their art and protect against their influences. In the hands of witches, it is regarded as a powerful tool of tapping and dealing cursed blows. Iron is mortality. As we die, it rusts. It withers and decays. As it exists in our blood to give us life, it is the power of the body. And for magics and spirits, the power of mortality can be devastating. If a spirit is given a body, it means that it is bound for death. If magic sinks into earth, it cannot fly and spin. As our blood burns hot until it runs cold, so iron does against supernatural powers. As folk charms are made to deal death to witchery, so let witchery break the charms. Wield iron against the charm and its power will wither.

I don't worship some appropriated feminine divinity or semi-European Paganism. I will talk about Black Magic, black skin and decolonizing white witchcraft.

Again again
Rune Casting
I recently got my Amethyst Runes and started getting more into it. It was pretty hard to find some good information online, so I thought I’d share with you guys what I found! I just write down what I have in my book of shadows, and this is just what I found, so there may be things that I wrote wrong or that doesn’t fit your believes. I request you look up on this subject yourself too, but this right here might give you a head start.
Runes are symbols which may be used in divination. They are very old and there are many theories as to how or when they originiated, but it’s well known that they were used in Europe. The word itself comes from the old norse word “Run”, and the old german word “Runa”, which translates to “whisper” or “secret”. Runes are closely tied to Odin and according to ancient germanic people they were created by him. The runic alphabets are called “Futhark”, after the first six runes, which are Fehu, Uruz, Thurisaz, Ansuz, Raido and Kenaz. While the elder furthark has 24 characters, just like our alphabet, there are also other versions of the Futhark which range from 16 to 33 characters.
Now to the Meanings!
I have to say, I had a really hard time looking up the meanings of every rune. While some runes have the same meaning everywhere, others seems to have a different meaning every time. I chose what was either mostly named or felt right for me. Feel free to share what you found out about them, or how you use them in the comments below! Every rune is associated with a letter of our alphabet, so I decided to include them and write them right beside the name. I don’t have the sources to post pictures of every rune (nor the space), but you can easily look them up youself online and get in touch with them.
Fehu - F “Fay-who” The Cattle - Wealth, Prosperty, Financial Matters
Uruz - U “Oo-rooze” The Aurochs - Strength, Courage, Vitality, for that matter also Health and Recovery
Thurisaz - TH “Thoo-re-saws” The Thorn or The Hammer - Destruction, Anger, Violence, sometimes a Warning or Protection
Ansuz - A “Awn-sooze” The Deity or The Antenna - Wisdom, Communication, Thoughts, Words, Signals, Learning, but also Truth or a Leader
Raido - R “Rye-tho” The Wagon - Travels and Journeys, maybe even an inner journey
Kenaz - K “Kee-naws” The Torch - Light, Inspiration, Creativity and Knowledge, but for other also Hard Work
Gebo - G “Gay-bo” The Gift - A Gift or Generosity, but for another matter also Love, Marriage or Partnership, by seeing the love of another person as a gift
Wunjo - W “Woon-yo” Joy - Happiness, Harmony, Comfort, as well as Victory o Productivity
Hagalaz - H “Haw-gaw-laws” The Hail - Destruction, Force, Disruption, Chaos, Drama, Hazard, Fury, Anger, can be associated with The Tower from the Tarots Major Arcana
Nauthiz - N “Now-teese” Need - Constraint, Neccessities, Distress, Delay, Patience
Isa - I “Ee-saw” Ice - Stagnation, Standstill, Frozen, Stuck
Jera - J/Y “Yare-awe” Harvest - Rewards, Success, Accomplishments, also associated with Earth
Eihwaz - EI “Eye-waws” Yew - Either Reliability, Stability and Trustworthy, or Constricted, Protection, Pain, Perseverence (by looking at it like a bow). The meanings are pretty split with this one.
Perth - P “Per-th” The Cup - Destiny, Fate, Magic, Mystery, The Unknowable
Algiz - Z “All-geese” The Elk - Protection, Self Defense, Shield, Standing Up For Something
Sowelu - S “Soe-wee-loo” The Sun - Good Fortune, Power, Energy, Health
Teiwaz - T “Tea-waws” Týr - Victory, Justice, Honor, Higher Spiritual Power, or Focus and Responsibility
Berkana - B “Bear-kaw-nah” The Birch - Birth, Beginnings, Fertility, (Personal) Growth, Nurture, Family
Ehwaz - E “Ay-waws” The Horse - Transportation, Movement, Travel, maybe also Trust or Loyalty
Mannaz - M “Mawn-naws” The Self - Person, Human, Man, Identity, Culture, Individual
Laguz - L “Law-goose” The Water - Lake, Sea, Ocean, mostly the Flow, also Intuition, Proohetic Dreams and Feminity
Inguz - NG “Een-goose” Seed or The God, Ing - Common Sense, Internal Growth, Potential, Fertility, Success, Masculinity
Dagaz - D “Thaw-gause” The Day - Awareness, Breathrough, Transformation, Evolving, Growth, Changes
Othila - O “Oa-thee-law” Ancestral Property or Homeland - Property, Home, Family, Legacy, Possessions, Inheritance
The Blank Rune No one really knows how or when it came into the set, but at somd point, the blank rune has been occasionally beed added and used in a reading. Using the blank rune or not is personal preference. It can be useless to you or help you, it’s your choice whether you keep it or not. If you do, it should be read and used based on intuition. Consider it’s placement and the relation and connection to other runes. Some runes sets doesn’t even include the blank rune. It may represent Odin or Fate.
Please note that these are just the names of the runes that I prefer, there are a lot, lot, LOT more other pronounciations or names for each rune, but adding them in here too would be too much. Runes also have reversed meanings, but that is sonething I haven’t got into by now. Just research for yourself a little bit, learn some more and stick to what feels right to you.
Now to casting them. There are many different ways to cast runes. You may simply pull runes out of a bag with your eyes closed, or you dump some or all of them on the ground. You can do simple Tarot Spreads with your runes or look up different ways to use them.
You can use the runes in magic as well! You may use fitting runes in a spell, or write with then in your book of shadows, or draw them on your altar, wand, etc. There are many things you can do with runes, just take your time and get closer with them! I hope you liked this little lesson and that it may help you an your way.
Lot’s of love your way, Laura 💕

🌲 Forest With Me Spell 🌲
The forest is full of peace and magick, bring it home with you to boost your spells and provide peace.
Gather
🌲 Bottle
🌲 earth (dirt, sand, rocks)
🌲 Assorted forest items (berries, leaves, flowers, bark, seeds)
(side note: do not collect or ingest anything that you are unsure about. Even if 99% sure about a plant id, don’t pick it. It’s for your own safety.)
Process
🌲 Take your bottle on a nature walk or hike. This can be anywhere deep in the woods or in an urban park. Work with your surroundings.
🌲 Half way through you walk stop and collect some earth from the ground and place it in your bottle. This can be what ever is locally available to you, but should be as natural as possible.
🌲 Hold the bottle and dirt in your hands and center yourself. Focus you energy into the bottle and invite the earth to put in its own energy.
🌲 Add other items from around you. These items can add additional effects to your spell. I added pine needles for protection, some dried wildflowers, and berries for regrowth.
🌲 After your bottle is full close it.
🌲 Keep the bottle close to you for the rest of your walk. Allow it to absorb the energy all around you.
Moving Forward
Keep the bottle on your altar, on you, or where ever you need it most. Allow it to project forest energy all around.
Feel free to create a diverse biome of energy be creating more jars with different parts of the forest.
Quick idea I had and need to note down before I forget it:
a witch bottle designed not to harm the incoming energies (like most witch bottles seem to be with their nails, thorns and black pepper) or block them (like the protective witch bottles I’ve seen with rosemary and basil), but filter and transmute.
Somebody throwing bad luck at you? Great, you’re giving me energy, I’ll filter it and change it into a blessing.
“When life gives you lemons” sort of idea, inspired by a post I’ve seen floating around about that witches shouldn’t ground bad energy, but filter it and transmute it, because earth can only take so much negative.
one word
charcoal
seriously, charcoal filters, man
maybe also mussel shells? since they’re filter feeders? hmmmmmm…
You could crochet a net wrap around the bottle or paint a “net” around it.
Bury it in a pot of geraniums or add persimmon seeds, for change and transformation.
Could use coffee filters somehow too?
Maybe even used coffee grounds (dried or not) themselves considering that they’re used to neutralize acidity in soils? Or sniffing them sort of purifies the sense of smell.
Hmm…. now i’m thinking because I like this idea.
I love this idea so much.
Eggshells, ash (from hardwood trees), and bone meal are good for calibrating soil Ph.
Additionally, sunflowers are often planted in areas where the soil has been affected by radiation leaks- certain radioactive isotopes mimic nutrients that sunflowers need, so the radiation gets soaked up in the stalks.
So spell bottle, buried- plant a sunflower over the top. Once the sunflower is grown, cut it down, dispose of the stalk.
Do you know any of any spells/jar magick that has to do with pets? (Ex, keeping them safe, a 'return home' thing, ect) - young-magick
Quite a few actually! I’ll try to organize this the best I can. I am also going to include some information on familiars as well too, because sometimes they go hand in hand for people with familiars.

Mild & Spicy Cursebreaker Powders
I was working on a powder to knock some bad energy off a ring I have, and came up with two different mixtures, one a little more heavy duty than the other. The “mild” one I use as a sort of ‘gentle soap’, while the “spicy” is more of a ‘magical bleach’. Depends on how much bad luck and/or energy I need to get rid of.
These aren’t cleansing powders though, so I still recommend a good cleansing after using the powders. These are more like using a dish scrubber to get dried-on food bits off your plates before putting them into the dishwasher. Dislodge the nasties to make the actual cleaning easier.
And since I am absolutely one of those “steals half the spice cabinet in the middle of the night” witches, you should be able to obtain all of these ingredients with no trouble, if you don’t already have them around. [Protip: Chamomile and Peppermint are super easily obtained by getting a box of herbal tea and just ripping open the tea bag]
Mild Cursebreaker
Chamomile (removing curses or hexes)
Basil (driving off hostile spirits)
Peppermint (clearing out a space)
Spicy Cursebreaker
Sage (removes negative energy)
Black Pepper (banishes negativity… aggressively)
Salt (the almighty cleansing, grounding, banishing, and protecting ingredient)
I add everything in equal amounts to a mortar and pestle and then go to town grinding them down until they’re a fine powder. Bottle it up, and that’s it.
In general, I use a cheap makeup brush to dust the powder over an object, though I have also been known to sprinkle some in my hand and then blow it into a room, or toss a pinch over my shoulder like you’d do with spilled salt.
