Also they aren't exactly Mermen since Ghiaccio is a Great White Shark, Illuso is a Tiger Shark, Formaggio is an Orca, Melone is an Octopus, Prosciutto is a Squid (might make him a gigant squid but idk rn), Risotto is a Dolphin, Pesci should be an Anglerfish, Sorbet should be a Manta Ray, and Gelato should be a Narwhal.

(also these aren't random drawings there's acutally a lot of lore to them and this AU as he whole even if idfk know if I'm gonna share it or not yet here we are✨)

(Ok basically that is my objective scale.)

Giorno is the first in line because his power, Golden Experience, has just so much potential in many directions (as in physical strength, passive strength, his object-changing power etc.) and of course these characteristics get greatly enhanced with the requiem arrow but that's a different thing.

Plus I think that he is overall a "strong" character per say (both literally and figuratively).

Now for Sorbet and Gelato... I don't know much about them, almost not enough to even scale them but seeing how "easily" they've seemed to be captured and killed I'm putting them on the lowest step of the scale.

Pfft yeah I think they both can bench press their mates

But maybe once or twice when Leone tried to bench press Bruno he unzipped one of his arms so he couldn't really do it yet he still tries to this day

For Risotto I'd say he had difficulty with Pesci and Ghiaccio because Ghiaccio got pissed off and froze his arms and Pesci just fundamentally refused to get lifted by Risotto because he was scared.. he never tried again with either of them after that.
