It would be so easy to make Villanelle a smoker. We’ve seen so many times on tv shows and movies that they use smoking as an “aesthetic touch” to make the killer mysterious and attractive.

the symbolism in that scene… eve turns around cause when she faces villanelle she’s also standing in front of a mirror and she can’t bear to see her own reflection. so in a way if she’s facing villanelle, she’s also facing her own reflection, meaning she has to see and accept herself as being similar to villanelle
