Recently I've felt so removed from my witchy practice, getting caught up in the christmas rushing amount and gorgeous yule is why i celebrate this season. I usually do quite intense ritualistic working but i don't always have the mental or psychic energy for it so i'm trying to keep it simple and get back into small workings for my gods or spells entry few days. This sympathetic magic smells particularly good, Garlic to ward off infection and orange, citronella and pepermint oils to unblock and cleanse the ear. Sneaky peak of christmas socks, this has to be my favorite colours and pattern, it reminds me of birds of paradise. definitely going to be making myself a lot of socks in january after how these are going. Plus I've finally figured out an easier way of making the heels that doesn't require tricky maths so a pattern is on it's way slowly. This bean is my constant companion when i'm tired out, she's usually keeps to herself in the afternoons sleeping or watching out of windows, but when i'm on the bed she sleeps next to me, when i'm back and forth to the bathroom she loafs half way between my 2 regular stops and comes in with me, and if i bum scoot down the stairs she runs to the bottom and chirrups at me. Halloween is starting early in our house, tbf we're both witches and make spooky art/music, so it never really ends, but the halloween window is going up and the ancestral feast is being made ready for the thinning of the veil. I've been weathering this m.e flareup by crocheting socks and painting birds when i have the energy. Particularly pleased with this little goldfinch. I've recently joined @rspb_love_nature and the books and magazine they send you are beautiful. Loving learning about migratory birds flight patterns as we see a lot of them flying past our bathroom so i can birdwatch from the house.
